So many beautiful flowers! It's so fun to see how much you enjoy all the beauty plants!! I too LOVE and appreciate all the gorgeous plants our Heavenly Father has created ❣I like to call my the beautiful plants I see eye candy. Thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful gardens! I do have one idea that I would love to see and that would be for you to list all the different kinds of plants you talk about in with links. That way we can go back to the video and be able to access all that wonderful information you share with us. It would be so helpful to us plant lovers!:) Thanks again for the wonderful video!💞
Love all the new varieties of Penny's, some I have not heard of, thank you.
When my son was small I would have him grow the vegetables he didnt like. When the vegetables were ready to eat he would try eating them. most he loved. His favorite after school snack was spinach. to this day it's still his favorite thing to eat and hes in his 40s

I love spinach too. I could eat it every single day.
Taking time to stop and talk pollinators. 🐝 was wonderful to hear.
I know this video is 4 years old, but I'm going to comment on the beautiful peony garden and just say that I'm from Pennsylvania, and we do have many varieties of peony available to us, but I'm quite surprised that he doesn't have any staking around his at all. Once ours start blooming heavily, it only takes just a bit of rain to have them all laying flat on the ground for the sheer weight of them. It can be quite the task if you have a lot of them, but well worth it for the show they put on.
Since last year i want to add Russian Sage and Verbena in my flowerbed. Due to Lockdown wasn't easy to visit the garden centers. Hope i have better luck this year. Keeping fingers crossed that my Peonies flower late spring. Greetings to you, Allen from Berlin, Germany. Hapoy Gardening🌱🌱🍀🌷🌷
LOVE LOVE LOVED watching your video tour of your AMAZING veggy garden... THANKS for posting it. I can not get around so can not tend to a garden, but LOVE watching your videos and shows... fantasizing that I'm there working in the beautiful raised beds!!
Soo glad to see such amazing cultivaters in Amarica
We need the bees much more now 🐝🐝🐝
I can't wait until next spring to try tulip blossoms in salad! I don't feel like such a freak now after watching Allen eat right out of the garden. That is my favorite way to eat veggies....hot from the sun and FRESH! Thank you for including so much information and making it seem like we are walking through the garden with a friend!
Anyone else giggle at "Age of Asparagus" or am I the only one.
Creeping Jenny is insanely invasive!

I love to listen to your show you have so much wisdom. Thank you so much for all you do
What a fantastic suggestion to combine peonies and Russian sage! Suggestions for winning combinations, and why, are priceless.
I've just found your channel and it bring me SO MUCH JOY
Your landscape is just stunning P. Allen Smith! Everything is so lush and full of life! You've done a truly amazing job!
Wow , Allen you are such a good teacher of nature and plants! I own a landscape business and I'm now offering design and install of vegetable gardens "Edible Landscapes"🌿 I'm learning SO much watching your videos , I just took 2 pages of notes! thank you so much! 😊🌿 I hope to get out to Arkansas for a tour of your gardens and farm in Spring 2021🌿
Such a gracious, informative host!
Please put the plant names on the screen when you talk about them. Thanks for sharing; you're such an inspiration.
Have you ever made Chive vinegar? You can drop chive heads in a bottle of white vinegar, and keep them there until the vinegar turns a light purple, then remove them. Use the vinegar in a salad and drop the chive heads on your salad, too

I love it! Make it every year. I think chive heads are marvelous and so often underutilized. 💚
I love the combination of the russian sage and peonies!!! Can't wait to copy this in my garden!

Have every hear or seen a 4 o clooks. Speaking of edible flowers. Mom said Old-Timers used to eat the bulb of this plant. they grow in shade and their aroma after opening in evening or around 4: 00 is absolutely WONDERFUL!
Those peonies are my favorite. Such a beautiful garden.
Love-love the show. Why? Taking the time to show how you make a garden makes my time well spent when watching. I love the information you provided.
I live south of Branson, so I follow your videos to know what to grow here and how to care for the plants. I was afraid it was too late to plant my purple hyacinth beans, but I can now see that I'm okay to plant this weekend. (June 1st) Thanks to you, my vegetable garden is finally taking shape!
Glad to see that your vegetable garden isn’t manicured into perfection. Gives me hope!

I agree with saving the precious rain water- is hard work carrying a lot of jugs but all my plants are so healthy- our community water source is awful on my plants so kinda makes me wonder how good it is for us!,
It was all about flowers...I thought I was going to see all kinds of vegetables growing!

Thanks for the garden tour. Oh, and that moment with the butteflies over the sage was simply beautiful!
Greetings from Alberta Canada; thanks for sharing all your knowledge and passion for gardening and design. Your shows are a joy to watch and we learn and apply the ideas in our northern garden. Keep up your good and important work.
Lovely! Growing vegetables and fruit can be so rewarding and beautiful. Thank you for sharing! Mayfield Manor
I have been watching you for many years. This is the reason we do what we do! Thank you for showing us your gardens. Quick question though how much time do you spend working in a garden that size?
So pretty
I love everything you do , your gardens bring me joy
Man I miss being able to watch your show :( Your gardens are so pretty
Love your peony garden. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow, what a beautiful garden. I love the concept of flowering ornamentals, herbs and perennials to attract pollinators to the veggie garden! 😍

Indeed! We need to learn to share with other species. The part where the salvia was planted specifically for the pollinators was beautiful. I do this too with regular sage, borage and other flowering plants.
Hi from North Carolina thanks for the video
Instead of using treated pine for the raised beds I would use shou sugi ban. Its a natural technique from Japan to naturally preserve wood without chemical treatment for 80-100 years. Great show and I appreciate your concern for earth friendly methods.
Also, can you please give us a tour during the fall?
A wonderful veggie garden! I love the fall color of asparagus.
Stunning garden 😍😍 love how neat & tidy you keep it 👍🏻
My idol. Such a beautiful garden.
Thank you very much for you video. 😊wish if you can have more time speak about peony Zlata Florida
Wow!!! What a lovely and beautiful garden. Thank you for sharing.😍👍
Your content never disappoints! Love your videos:) You seem like your back or hips are bothering you. If so, I hope you feel better soon:)
Just beautiful. I like the diversity of your garden and the embracing of a better life. I especially loved the peonies and sage. I am sorry to see the cut down trees. I love trees. 💕

Stumps = seating to rest, table space for tools or basket, bird perch to spot and eat bad bugs, or as a base for a sculpture or even a pot of cascading something or other. The branches cut might have been used to make homemade teepees for growing vining beans, or homemade obelisk supports for flowering vines, and the twiggy sticks make pretty nice peony supports for when the blooms get heavy and want to lay on the ground, just stick the large twigs all 'round while the peonies are small. If the trees were large enough, the trunks could have been cut into board lengths for making raised beds for peonies and sage. Tree love.
Love it ! We grow the same things ! In Ga - have to plant my peonies where they only get morning sun. Too hot here.
Love your garden A self-sustaining Farm that idea has been lost. wonderful To seen.Thank you😊
Wow...loving it much Sir.🌹🌹🌹
I enjoy your video you have so much knowledge. You seem to be a super guy.
I am planning to plant collards in containers this spring! Also, lettuces( red leaf romaine) and green leaf and spinach of course. All organic.
Wow! so many good ideas!! thank you so much for sharing your garden with us.
Gorgeous!
Great tour, tfs.

2011Mamamia Thank you. I’ll make sure they know.
Those large bees with the shiny black bottoms are carpenter bees, they bore into wood. The last bee (yellow) on the flower looked like it was on a Lilly was a honey bee.
Beautiful garden. Thks. I'm learning so much from u.
Thanks for a nice video of your garden👏🏻😍
True passion 👍❤️😊
I’m going to have to get some more pollinators for my container garden tomorrow.
Great video ❤️👍☺️😊
I love your gardens! Flowers in any garden are a plus, they bring in the pollinators and some (like marigolds) are a natural deterrent for unwanted garden visitors. Where do you get your heavy metal edging for the beds? I've used wood for my raised beds in the past however it doesn't hold up to the elements as long as I would like it to.
What a wonderful garden walk🤗. Thank you. I have two questions at one point you mentioned that the tulip flower petals are edible? I also wanted to ask what kind of mulch you use by your asparagus? Thank you so much for sharing. I always enjoy your videos so much! They remind me of the time we visited your farm❤
Beautiful veggie and flower garden. You have a gorgeous place. What do you do with all the food you grow? Thanks for the tour.
I love your videos. Your voice is so relaxing, and you give so much great information that I've been using in my gardening. I live in North Carolina, so we get a lot of pollinators naturally, but I grow plants specifically to attract them since I read about how they're becoming endangered. I'm learning the ropes of vegetable gardening from my mom, and she uses raised beds as well, but she has them on gravel platform instead of directly on the ground. Seems to really work, but we have problems with rabbits and deer getting in. Do you have any advice on how to keep them out?
Loved this video! What type of metal edging was used in the peony beds?
Great video ! How do you handle Deer ?
Can you tell me what is covering the ground. Your garden is beautiful.
Love the way u explain things wish I could come to see your garden how can I buy see from you?
At 6:45, the pots that had tulips and then pansies, do you lift the tulips to save, plant over top, or dispose of the bulbs to rotate your plantings?
What do you consider early, mid, and late blooming peonies? Thanks from Chicago 🌸
Is espalier fruit trees practical in Las Vegas? Will the intense sunlight burn the trees?
💜
Can a raised bed be put on top of a concrete slab? My boys use to play basketball on this slab when they were younger. I have 3 4x4 lifetime beds that I would like to put it on this slab if possible. Any tips for this. Thanks very much.
I am in Oklahoma 7B I have 2 varieties Sarah Bernhardt and another I don’t know the name. They are beautiful
How do you get the peonies’s stems to grow strong enough to hold the weight of the flower?
I live in Arkansas also and want to show chickens .
Dear Mr. Smith, I go to you for ALL my gardening queries! I cannot locate your ratings for safe plastic vegetable gardening. Other sites rate #5 as the top plastic grade followed by 2 and 4, staying away from containers rated 1, 3, 6 and 7. I would appreciate YOUR input on this as you are my HIGHEST RATED gardener! Sincerely, Organic
If you cut that russian sage all the way down to the ground in the late fall it will come back brand new with no old wood. :)
I would like to know how I can purchase some of the breeds of foul or chickens from you Allen .
P.Allen your show is very educational & entertaining. Where are you located & when can visitors see your garden ?

More tours to come!!! Can't just get it all on one! 😃💚
Do you grow any tomatoes, peppers and beans?
I thought treated wood was not safe for growing vegetables you want to eat. Can you tell me why you are using treated pine?
Whats the name of this podcast that you keep mentioning???
How much would it cost to build a garden like this ? Asking for a friend
👌👍😍
Love peonies. We have about a dozen, but I keep having to dig some up and move them because if they get too close, they all get powdery mildew. See all of yours planted so closely, I am seeing powdery mildew in your future. Hope I'm wrong!

Are hyacinths beans edible?
I planted several Russian sage along a fence line at our old place and didn't enjoy it after the second year and thereafter because it spreads and is hard to keep under control. I personally don't care for the smell of them either.
