Vegas Tasting Menus: $49 Budget Vs $175 Luxury Tasting Menus | Kase Sushi & Partage
In Las Vegas, there are no shortages of great restaurants. From the buffets to the burgers and everything in between, there is something for everyone. While my favourites are the buffets, one cannot live on buffets alone.
I'm very grateful to have met some wonderful people who live in Vegas, Tony and Sue, who were nice enough to recommend local hidden gems! One such place is a hidden Japanese eatery called Kase Sushi and Sake. It's not just a Japanese restaurant, but one that offers unpretentious, quality dishes with the omakase tasting menu style! With the endless array of dishes and flights of sushi coming your way, it's a wonderful and full-filling experience to say the lease. Great value and Great food.
And while on this tasting menu streak, I would be nice to experience a luxurious modern French Tasting menu. While these luxury experience can be expensive, there is great value to be found in the Vegas Chinatown area. This brings us to Partage, a modern french restaurant located in Chinatown that exclusively offers tasting menu dining experiences, but this time with higher end luxury ingredients such as Wagyu, caviar, foie gras and more. With a brigade of chefs preparing quality dishes that tastes as good as they look, and they do look stunning!. Great food and great cocktails exquisitely prepared and exquisitely presented! And if the drinks weren't enough, the Golden Tiki is just a few doors down ;-)

First, let me start by saying I enjoy all your videos. Keep them coming. Second, when your cocktail arrives with a garnish that hinders your drinking comfortably, you can remove it; otherwise, keep it in the drink. A garnish has one or two purposes: to add to the flavor or aromatic experience while sipping the cocktail. When you finish your drink, you may eat the garnish if it's eatable.
OMG Tim. I really appreciate your food and travel adventures. Love love watching your videos. You keep me company while doing mundane kitchen clean up . We had a rule growing up if you cooked you didn't have to do dishes. It has carried on with my other half. You keep me company when he travels for work. And when recovering in the hospital (helped me pretend food was good 😅) Thank you for Tim until the next video. JoAnn Sigby blessings to you and your family

Having eaten around the world several times... I'm surprised you haven't had fresh wasabi before. It's actually quite expensive, so that $49 sushi/nigri tasting is a great value esp since it included o-toro. If it was where I live, I would be there weekly! BTW... you need to go back to the first restaurant and try the $120 9-course tasting... curious what that includes given the value of the $49 tasting menu.
You found two winners-it seems. ❤

good to see the little reminder of that great Filipino place you went to awhile back...so many restuarants one after another as you walked, would be fun to see starting on one end of the bloick to the other how far along you could go.. well fun at first. Also liked that the sushi place served pickled wasabi as one of the condiments...and thought it was funny that Saint Félicien to saint frontenac to san ferdinand to saint flynmans i was wishing you would have to say it a few more times...was thinking with mystery dishes you had a danger of ending up with bananas

There isn't much I would eat at either restaurant as I don't eat raw fish. When Tim says briny I think he means it tastes like seawater, which I can't stand. Maybe I'd eat the chocolate dessert and the tiny piece of wagyu beef. Anyway, it was fun because Tim did not know what the next course was going to be, so it was a surprise. You could tell by Tim's facial expression that he didn't much like a lot of what he was served no matter what he said.

Kase was a lovely find. Although I didn't like the size of the rolls, maybe cut them in half. Partage was creative and playful. That was a lot of rich food. Duck liver and tongue, then ox tail and marrow - wow. First, I didn't like the idea of not knowing what was going to be served. But none of it was terribly odd. Nice shout-out to Oregon!
