    It’s worse because Nagra just uses logical fallacies to make his “points”… more holes in his comments than a pretty airy block of Swiss cheese…. Dr Baker doesn’t know because no one can ever know the long term consequences of any diet…ever… although evidence against the SAD is mounting up quite quickly…

    I was a vegan for over 30 years and suffered dearly. Vegan doctors love saying the science is settled because they have no solutions but yet they wonder why 80% of the people leave veganism. When vegan friends try to debate and criticize me with science, I tell them the results of the only scientific study that matters. My 30 plus years experience as a vegan vs 1 year carnivore. Ok, here's what I don't get. They've studied the Eskimos, the Masai and other African tribes, some South American tribes, and peoples that eat almost exclusively red meat, and did all kinds of tests on everyone in the tribes, including the very old. They found that overall they're the healthiest peoples on the planet. They have no cancer, no cardiovascular issues, no osteoporosis, the best bone density, and no gut issues like IBS or Crohn's "disease". So to say they're are no long term studies on the carnivore diet is basically false. The results you get from someone who has been living the carnivore lifestyle for over 60-80 years should be considered long term study.

  • @Mallchad

    @Mallchad

    5 ай бұрын

    People don't acknowledge them because they're few and far between and have hard to trace or questionable collection methods. As well as the results being confounded by their occasional consumption of some plant matter when they feel like it. I would not call them a carnivore study. but rather study of meat heavy diets. Of the ones that remain they are quite difficult to find- and are tainted with modern versions of people like inuit (formerly eskimo) who have been corrupted by modern convenience food

    I totally agree with you! It's very frustrating to hear Dr. Shawn repeating that! Dr. Berry and others seem to have a great deal of certainty of the long term effects!

  • @Mallchad

    @Mallchad

    5 ай бұрын

    @@caryt59 It's technically correct. From a scientific point of view there is no long term studies on a truly carviroius diet, only a mostly carnivorious diet (in uncontrolled conditions). We have other studies of micro-effects of the traits of carnivore. Human anatomy, nutrition in meat vs plants. Toxicity. etc. The only thing we know for sure is humans are biologically setup for carnivory and have eaten that way for millions of years- end of. Health is. Up for debate and not something we really have a choice in, deviating from your species appropriate diet naturally leads to difficulties with health picking food to eat

    In the few hunter-gatherer groups still extant, all have a preference for meat in their diet. Many studies if you look up the research. However, they're not stupid. Not every hunt is successful. When there isn't enough meat, they eat anything else they can find in season. Might be veg, fruit, tree bark, etc. Adaptability is survival in the wild. In our domesticated societies today, we can have all the meat we can afford. Interestingly, the supposed "pure vegetarian" animals in the wild -- examples include deer and rabbits -- will actually consume meat when they find it. Goats have been observed catching and eating chicken chicks. YT channel Casual Geographic has a vid on it.

Found out I was completely intolerant of beans and my digestion was a mess. Blood sugar reaction was all over the place--he recommends using dates to make some foods more palatable. Without the beans, only source of protein was nuts. Gained ten pounds in just a few weeks rather than losing weight and felt awful. Have been doing carnivore now for about two weeks. Feel great, no longer snack all the time, digestion is better than ever and I've lost seven pounds. 'nough said.

    Shawn, there are a lot of strict carnivores that surpass you in number of years not eating carbs and sugar. Some are now 80 or 90 and many have been eating only meat, eggs, dairy, maybe some chicken and fish, butter and electrolytes for upwards of 60 years. We’ve yet to hear they have heart disease. Meanwhile there are no long term studies that show vegans maintain health better than those who cut out nearly all processed foods and eat red meat frequently. There are studies that indicate many and varied health issues due to a vegan diet: bone, muscle, joint and cartilage issues are common due to long term strict vegan diets as well as iron poor blood, low platelets, mood disorders, decreased energy, mental fog and cognitive decline, and issues with the thyroid, liver, adrenals, bowels, being overweight, nutrient deficiencies, immune and auto immune, blood sugar spikes, food sensitivities, absorption and digestion, menstration, hormones, fertility, being underweight, and you know their vegan kids get sick - a lot.

    We love you Dr. Baker. Don’t let that vegan pusher get to you. Your entertaining videos are the best. I will keep watching them and keep eating my ribeyes. 😅❤🎉

    I can't take a vegan doctor seriously, so there's that. I am new to Carnivore. Furthermore, I started on the 1st of January. I lost 30 pounds. I fixed my insomnia and IBS and I feel better now than I have for the last 5 years at least.

    When gut discomfort disappeared nearly overnight after going carnivore, and I'm starting to approach the carnivore doctors in appearance, I'll take a likely impossible "risk of heart attack" over continuing life in discomfort. Every step of my health journey, from low-carb, to fasting, to now carnivore has run against conventional wisdom, but always resulted in significant improvement. I'll keep doing it.

    what I do know is when I am eating eggs - ground beef , Pork and bacon - I feel so much better and all of my long term health issues go, when I was following the recommended healthy eating - I never felt healthy and was always ill.

    I was in agony and felt suicidal, it’s now over three years living the carnivore lifestyle. I really don’t care how long I live as long as I have a good quality of life whilst I’m here and I don’t want to live the Big Pharma, NHS lifestyle so I will never take what a vegan/vegetarian Dr or influencer has to say seriously ever. Keep going Dr Baker, you and many others have saved my life and made it worth living!😊

    I TOTALLY APPRECIATE that you actually READ and evaluate the studies that are out there and report the results. I TOTALLY appreciate that you are balanced and fair and not just pushing your opinions on people. However, I think most people cannot hear balanced and fair. They just want to create controversy and get clicks. It is completely annoying. The only thing I think you could add to this video is to refute AGAIN the studies he is quoting and why his argument holds no water.

    I don't trust anyone who says their way is all sunshine, unicorns and stars. Yours, Shawn, is the most trustworthy view. Thanks for all you do. I find that those who are targeted are the truth tellers. PS: What a cute dog!

    Look, people that gloss over all of the facts and say things like "it's for entertainment" like they did to you, aren't being sincere. They are repeating claims to make them feel relevant instead of trying to figure these things out. It's not only in the food space either, it's damn near everything. Another topic comes to mind, AGW. Keep preaching it Doc, you ARE helping people.
