If I hadn't played this video I wouldn't have been aware there was a new version. I guess I'd have thought they'd have shot out an email on it. VCarve Pro for me.

Jeff, Another great video. Helps me justify the $400 for the Aspire 9 upgrade. Do you have a universal jig on your router bed to easily allow alignment for two sided routing or is it a one time setup? Thanks again.

Steve Hastings Hi, and thanks. It's really a one time setup using dowels to align the work piece. If making many of an item a jig would be great, but for one off projects I just use dowels. Thanks for watching.

upgrading to v9 is that a paid upgrade or is it free? I am currently running vcarve pro 8.5 I am not totally sure that this makes it easier? I guess the only thing that it allows is to keep everything contained in one document instead of two. cause you are still copy pasting your vectors. I am curious on how it exports the gcode if its all in one file or 2 separate files

ontheEDGE It is a paid upgrade. The two sided feature is one of many new additions. I'm not a paid spokesperson, just love the software. It allows you to generate two tool paths one for side A one for side B. Not having to have two separate files is a huge time saver in my opinion. Thank you for watching.

oh so it does generate 1 single gcode file for both sides? do you know if it does this via a tool change command or how does it exactly do it?

Idk vectric is decent software I just really really struggle to spend almost 2k for Aspire over v-carve pro can you offer any tips that would justify that expense? I just find it hard when there are programs that are free that have more capability than aspire

ontheEDGE I do ALLOT of 3D model CREATION. If you don't CREATE your own 3D models VCarve pro is plenty.
