There is an error in the description of Keep Out Zones - the Clearance is NOT the Z clearance, it is an offset in the XY plane. I posted an updated video on how it really works: • Keep Out Zones - I Got...

More to come! I really want to dig in and do tutorials on designs, implementing them in VCarve and Aspire and then actually cutting them on my Onefinity CNC. I have some creative approaches to materials that might be interesting to folks.
Well explained and quite helpful to me. Thank you

I was actually running on an Apple MacBook Air M2! But it runs well on my 6 year old Dell tower PC running windows 11. What are your system specs?

Glad you enjoyed it
Silly question. How did you get the save icon on the left. By default it’s not there. TIA

I actually mention this - in v12 these buttons are turned off by default but you can show them by changing a setting in the options dialog. General Settings->Show additional file operations

My experience has been great too. I lean towards Parallels as it seems to have fewer issues and the performance seems better (subjectively).
Do you feel its worth the $175 upgrade charge?

Each of us have our own needs and wants to upgrade! If you do a lot of V carve work from photos or drawings then the new Sketch Carving and VCarve Inlay tools could well be worth the upgrade themselves. If you are a casual user and happy with the features in your current release, then maybe upgrading isn't needed. Vecrtric has an amazing upgrade policy that allows you to skip multiple releases before upgrading without charging you extra. So you can always upgrade to v13 or another version in the future if you skip this one!
They half-modernized it. Still has a lot of the old-style icons, but a step in the right direction. They still have the weird thing where if I edit a tool and change the units from inches to mm, it doesn't convert the units. So if I go to a 1/8 inch end mill, it will list the diameter as 0.125 inches. So far so good. If I change units to mm, that should change to show 3.175mm, but instead it shows 0.125mm - same bug as in version 10. Same as for stepover - it should convert from inches to mm when you change from inches to mm. Why make the user convert it when the program is running on a computer and can do it?
get a standing mic instead of a clip on

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll look into it for screen share videos. I’ll still need a clip on for on location in the shop videos.
