    *Vazhai kai pasum poriyal:* Vazha vaikum kai. Nature has produced the whole plant for humans. Almost all parts like fruit, raw banana, stem, leaves. As soon as we say valai kai, bajji comes to mind. There are 6 tastes We use 2 tastes very less: thuvarpu(astringent), bitter Raw banana tops the list of vegetables when it comes to astringent taste. Ingredients: Raw Banana-1 Grated Coconut- 100g Cumin Powder- 1 tsp Pepper Powder- 1 tsp Curry Leaves- little Coriander Leaves- little Himalayan Rock Salt Carrot grated- 2 tbsp (for colour) Capsicum- 2 tbsp finely chopped Steps: Peel the skin from the raw banana and chop it finely and soak it in salt water for 15 minutes. This removes excess astringent taste & makes banana into edible form. (It is recommended to use the skin of country vegetables. Remove only a little skin) Chop coriander leaves, curry leaves and capsicum finely. After 15 minutes of soaking, drain the water from the raw banana and put it in a bowl. Mix equal or 50 percent grated coconut. Add chopped capsicum, coriander leaves and curry leaves. Add quarter teaspoon of cumin powder and quarter teaspoon of pepper powder into it. Mix everything thoroughly. Finally, garnish with grated carrot. No need to add extra salt as it is being soaked in salt water already. Benefits: Vazhakkai is related to the blood circulation system. Good for blood and heart. Makes the heart function well. It shrinks and expands well. It maintains the nutrition quantity in the blood. Bed ridden people: Keeps motion under control. Cures Kidney stones. Increases positive thoughts. Gets rid of negative thoughts. Brings in lot of changes in mind and body. When we eat it without cooking, it provides hundred percent benefits.
