When you do the review on the lg hu85la can you compare the gaming to the other ust projector as the lg hu85la has a game mode

In a few years time, movies at home will be amazing and affordable with all these laser short throw issues ironed out.

@@scotttild A matter of semantics then,,, a 1920x1080 DMD (digital micro-mirror device), which this projector has,,, has to shift frames/images 4x to produce 8.3million pixels (4k).

This review was on version 1.25, there's been several patches since that improves color balance and HDR performance.

Have the Samsung ultra Short throw projector 9 series And I am currently projecting it on a white wall and it looks simply amazing well eventually had 120 inch screen but as of now I am very happy with the results

I would lower the contrast to fix those blown out highlights and just use the brightness control to adjust the black level and shadow detail.

As of the date of your video, 1.25 was the official update for the white unit being pushed. A black ( charcoal grey ) version appeared 18 months later. As of 2022, the firmware 2.2 is only intended for those that have version 2.1. If you have version 1.2 it means that you are already updated and that your unit was just recently bought. While there may be confusion on this, rest assured that version 1.2 does not need the recent update.

How far from the wall it has to be in order to have 120” image?

Fair review and evaluation of the VAVA UST. I'm desperately waiting for your thorough review of the Optoma P1. The VAVA and Xiomi 4k UST projectors fall far short of an acceptable Image quality. LG's HU85LA is way too expensive , so hopefully the Optoma P1 will be the Goldilocks choice of the current bunch of Laser 4k UST projectors. The Epson LS500 is four months away from release. Thanks Shane. I find your reviews to be extremely fair and accurate.

Unfortunately the P1 is about to have a price increase and be around $4000.... I think I may just stick with my HT2150ST for a while longer.

What kind of screen did you get fir it?

Ok is not the chipest One but still the image is averge ... Can You do any list from the best to worst in all category price ?

Would you consider doing a review on the optima P1?

Good review, I also have the VAVA and I don't see any rainbow effect, also my unit is not loud, well compared to other projectors I have reviewed, an ALR screen works great with this projector.

I'll see it ocassionally out the corner of my when something bright is on screen. The one I have here gets really loud sometimes. Maybe it's just my review sample.

Your brain must operate slower than the single chip projectors combing colors, that's why you dont ever see RBE 😉

Rainbow effect will always be on all single chip DLPs, as they can only do one color at a time on the screen. LG lied about the hu85la & said they eliminated the RBE, I bought one & it had tons of RBE. Returned it & got a native 4k Sony projector

@@JoelsterG4k I guess you are lucky. The store I returned it to has it setup for the last few weeks & 6/7 of the floor/installers have seen RBE on it

Mine has a bit of fan noise but not noticeable enough to bother me I love mine

Would like to see a review of one of the UST projectors compared to your Sony VPL-VW695Es or similar. That is my dilemma, it's time for a new projector (I have a 10 year old 1080p Sony projection) Do I got with something similar to the Sony VPL-VW695Es or UST. Having seen the both which would you go for?

Do you know the difference between the Sony VPL-VW695Es and the VPL-VW295Es?

Need to lower your contrast to get detail in highlights

I was so ready to pull the trigger on a Volvo 4K ultra short throw laser projector. However I can't seem to find a decently priced ALR screen. Everything I can find is more expensive than the damn projector 🤣. I was thinking about just buying $150 and screen but what's the point if the image quality suffers. At this point I think I just might stick with an 85-in LG

Try XY Screens (my top choice directly from their site or Alibaba), Akia Screens (Amazon) or Vava ALR projector screen (Amazon)

What about comparing the vava to the xiaomi 4K projector?

zxcvbnmmasdfghjkl Xiaomi sucks, after 1 month its plagued with start up and color problems. No support since its from China and im in the USA. $2000 worse spend

a lot of marketing going on to promote the Vava, but on Amazon there are many negative reviews of the Vava including poor customer service. Where is the response to all these complaints??

The wemax one pro is cheaper than the VAVA. Anyone care to share an opinion/recommendation ?

German Language is available, but the projector is not available in Germany 😌🤷🏼‍♂️ great... I want one, but still have to wait until this will be available in Germany one day. It’s only available in Canada and the US 🤷🏼‍♂️😌

Finde ich auch doof. Auf anfrage bei vava, meinten die nur, dass sie es auch nicht wissen. Muss ich wohl auch auf den xiaomi zurück greifen, obwohl der kein hdr hat. Hmmm

The projector is supposed to accommodate an 80-150" screen. I'm using a 92" screen. There shouldn't be issues anywhere within their specified range but there was so I relayed the message.
