I have the same problem with 2012 astra cdti sri ecoflex. When I go up hills or give it a bootful of acceleration.

Yes, that's my garage on the side of my old house,was a decent size to work in... I've moved since... one thing I miss is that garage, have to work outside now as present garage is only standard car size and full of crap...lol

Mine came up saying about the grill.. machanic said it might not be able to open after my wifes hit a deer ..my engine sounds louder too

There where all different diagnostic readers one of them said something about" immobilizer separate to long from key" . Massage come after lot more then 2 starts.

Domlinx Plays i would say get it rescanned. Take a note of the code number and description and look up using google or other internet sources the most common causes

I've had a oil and filter change and I'm still getting the service vehicle soon, on my 65 plate Astra what could the issue be, as its everything I start the car, however nothing came up on the code reader ? Any advice

Hi..the svs light is not a service light. Its a fault light like the orange engine symbal you get. You say there are no codes. Was this with a generic scanner or was it vehicle specific

@@shaunsautorepairs5410 I believe it was a small handheld one. I'm not sure what to do, just cant afford to pay loads out but needs sorting before I hand it back this yeah. Would it be glow plugs but the car starts ok?

Mathew bolt most likely to be one of the glow plugs faulty had same issue car started fine service engine warning light my car had the more expensive glow plugs costing £110 each

If you dont have a full system scan its just a guessing game..could be glow plugs, egr valve, a sensor. The list goes on. Shop around you can normaly find a mobile guy to give you a full scan for about £30. That wont fix it but will give you direction as to what your fault is

Its standard if it's a insignia diesel it probably a glow plug and they are a piss easy to replace I I justed uv not got the compression type coz they cost some till pal

Have cleared ECU yesterday. Did drive car all day today massage didn't come back yet.

Hi iv had a few problems with my automatic insignia CDTI 2.0 1st is the transmission slipping gears which the revs go really high but no power then eventually seems to start moving.2nd problem is with the engine management lights coming on and it doesn't start ! Hmm bizzare but according to my mechanic this is all my fault even though the car has been like this since I bought it 6 weeks ago , if you can help with any advice il be very grateful.

Hi.. Firstly id like to say thankyou for watching and your comment... 2nd id say if you purchased it 6 weeks ago and its been like that since you got it i would have returned it for my money back before now.... The gearbox issue sounds like you may have a low oil level in the gearbox. If this is ok then its going to be a gearbox or torque converter fault. The engine light and non start may be related to the gearbox fault. You wont know for sure untill you get someone to give it a full system scan and see what fault codes you have...

@@shaunsautorepairs5410 Thanks very much for your reply, i did ask for money back but surprisingly somehow now there is a claim that petrol has been put into the Diesel engine of which falls upon me although this is impossible so I conclude foul play of a huge magnitude just to cancel out my warranty. Does such a sabotagery deed ruin such a diesel engine? Im at my wits end with the whole thing tbh and this was only revealed in the last 36 hours, thank you sir.

Hi!I have same problem.May i ask did you cleaned glow plug hole before put the new one in?if yes what tool need it?I seen special brush on internet, but i am not sure how shoulde use it?what is the carbon fall in to the engine :(

No cleaning required. There wasnt an excesive build up of carbon simply screw the new glow plug in. I havent seen any tools for cleaning glow plug holes so cant comment on there use..sorry

I would think you have a glow plug fault.. You need to get the resistance checked on each one

Hi .. !st off you need to have the codes read in the ECU as the SVS light is a malfunction warning light. Fumes in the car could be down to DPF faults,leaking turbo intercooler pipes, EGR faults, leaking oil or diesel from the injectors. Have you done a visual inspection under the bonnet to see if anything obvious is happening. Has it lost power or does it run rough?

@@154electrician number 1 will be the furthest to the left. The one nearest the front of the engine assuming its a four cylinder.

I have same massage"service vehicle soon" done service last Thursday, plug in 3 types diagnostic tools no fault find reset ecu and this massage is back on next day. Do you have any clue what to do?

If the service engine soon message is on there must be a fault in one of the modules typicaly engine or abs. If you did a reset and it went but came back the next day... I would think it was after 2 ignition cycles. On the 1st cycle it would store a pending code and the 2nd time a permanant code.did you get a list of all the modules they scanned or were they just generic obd2 scan tools

That just standard that bruv the glow plugs are common on them bags of shit iv lost count the amount iv done on them they are shit cars

Domlinx Plays how much are you looking to spend..a scan tool that reads everything is going to cost upwards of 150.00. Foxwell do a nice range of scan tools. Google them or checkout there web site. Also check out gendan.co.uk.. This is where i get my stuff

Domlinx Plays that will only read engine data from the main ecu. If you want abs, transmision and all other modules your need to go for the nt624 at £180 OR better still the nt644 at £400. With a scan tool that your going to use often. Buy the best you can afford
