VAULTS: how they work, how to draw them and how they are called? History of Architecture in Sketches
Hello! In this video I'm trying to explain how different types of vaults were evolving with time, how they work and also I'm showing (really quickly) how to draw them. So, again, it's a mix of history of architecture, construction and drawing. Vaults presented here: a barrel vault, a groin or cross vault, a pavilion or cloister vault, a sail vault, a dome on pendentives, a rib vault, a stellar vault, a net vault.

Wrote a whole thesis on this in metal stone and wood, and about 18 years of practice recorded. Turns out we the laborers don’t like the specifiers and fashion professors
