Video Description:
Vaulting is when you rise up on the toes of the uninvolved leg. Most people who do this either have weakness in the opposite leg, spasticity, or abnormal synergy patterns in the involved leg. Learn more about this and how to correct it.

Thank you so much for this video, I'm so sure that it's going to help myself and others overcome this problem. My problem is after walking around with a cane while hiking my uninvolved hip for the past year or so is to unlearn this compensatory move and relearn how to flex the knee,as well as the ankle. I'm so looking forward to getting started with these exercises. Thanks again for your time and support

I've tried to figure out what's keeping me from a run, a trot or whatever. I've just gotten so I can lift my foot and clear the floor/ground, but when I try to jog or walk fast my leg will not cooperate. I can now jump, kick a ball but no jog

hmm, if you are talking about the AFO, you definitely want to wear your AFO. I do not recall stating not to wear a brace, you just need to adjust for it on the uninolved side.

I'm a 16 year old who lifts and I'm a according to my doctor a little "under" 5'8 and I don't really see my dad because of divorce but I'm sure he's between 5'6-5'5 and my mother us between 5'5-5'4 and my eldest brother is 5'6 so I actually fear that I'm going to be short in adult hood by remaining 5'7. I do in fact lift weights and according to this site by subtracting a couple of cm from my parents hights plus my hieght will be my future height which is apparently 5'8 a little below average. I don't know how active that is though. Help?

I seem to have a bit of a different problem with my involved foot. It does the opposite of drop foot (toe really raises up). I think because in the beginning they hammered in heel to toe, I now over emphasize heel toe on my left and really left my toes up as I come down on my heel and don’t really roll through and push off with my left. Is this a common problem? Are there exercises to work on breaking this habit?

So I'm aware of my vaulting and work dayly to correct but I still need to function go places etc. Besides working on the bad habit, am I doing any long term harm if I fall into this habit on occasion going to get a gallon of milk or walking into Target?

CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANYTHING FOR AN INTENSIONAL TREMOR. I DO LEAN ON MY EFFECTED LEG WHICH STOPS THE SHAKING BUT IT SCARES THE LIFE OUT OF ME WHEN I TRY TO WALK. I HAVE ORDERED A GUTTER WALKING FRAME AS I SUFFER FROM RHUMATOID ARTHRITUS AND HAVE PAINFUL WRISTS. I CAN DO A LOT FOR MYSELF COOKING CLEANING ETC IN MY WHEEL CHAIR BUT I REALLY WANT TO WALK AGAIN. I MANAGED TO DO ALL THE LEG EXERCISES WITH NO PROBLEM. I AM ALSO GOING TO GET THE LARGE BALL TO HELP WITH MY LEG MUSCLE. I TRANSFER TO MY BED LOO ETC AND ALWAYS TRY TO PUT IN A COUPLE OF EXTRA STEPS I HOPE THIS INFO HELPS PS I DID DESCRIBE MYSELF LIKE A WONKY PENDULUM SO I FOUND YOUR VIDEO ABOUT CENTERING REALLY USEFUL. HOPING YOU CAN HELP MY WITH THE TREMOR.
