Some controlling action on VATSIM - taking a dual sector on London Control, taken from my live stream and totally unedited. This will give you an insight on what goes on behind the scenes; hopefully this will put a few pilots at ease that mistakes are common from pilots (and controllers!) and the controller is there to help you rectify those mistakes!
Twitch is my main source of content creation, where I control in the UK airspace and also fly around the world, visiting many different places on the VATSIM network. However, KZread is going to be used as a place where I will be uploading highlights of both controlling and flying.

I don’t understand how you do it, but as a pilot this level of controlling comforts me. It’s always ensuring having someone who can safely guide me and others to safety. Great controlling!

I'm gobsmacked that at around 27:20, G-WARS popped up North East of LHR. I did my first solo in that exact aircraft. Used to fly out of Biggin Hill back in the early 2000s when it was with Cabair.
I mean controlling this seems already superbly hard, but dude is just vibing, talking and thanking people for follows while doing so lol.. Meanwhile I still get nervous asking for clearance xD

Are you a controller in real life? I'd like to learn to do this, is there a VATSIM school/lessons as such? Also what sim?
If everyone downloaded the FlyByWire Mod for the A320neo in MSFS, no one would have these auto pilot issues 😩😂

It was a long while ago, but probs a month or so after I started training! However, there are a lot more mentors now!

Amazing competence. But those maps - absolutely indecipherable - probably the most unergonomic maps ever devised. Totally confusing for anyone not familiar with them. Where are the airports? Where are the runways? Where are the standard arrival and departure overlays? How on earth do you decide where to look and whom to call? I cannot think of a worse display of aerial ATC even for those in the know. I'm glad I fly and do not control. It's like understanding Egyptian sanskrit.
