@@anonakkor9503 If you remember, every Espada represents a certain aspect of death and Ulquiorra's was "Emptiness". After spending time with these strange beings called humans (Ichigo, Orihime, etc) he developed a connection to them and gained an understanding of what emotions are; why they are connected to each other and what drives them to fight for each other, even when risking their own lives to do so.

In the manga Ulquiorra tore off Ishida's arm. What was the first thing his hollow did? Cut off Ulquiorra's arm. What did he do next? Demonstrate his speed by attacking from the front before slipping to the side and palming Ulquiorra's head, the same thing Ulquiorra did to him. Let's just say his hollow had a thing for payback.

@@uteriel282 Well let's ignore the last boss in the manga. Kubo created something and cornered himself with it. And because everyone was dropping the manga, Shounen Jump gave Kubo I believe 8 chapters to end the manga... And well if he had more time the end of the manga would probably be better. But it is the same as Naruto. Kaguya was an asspull too, MHA does slowly drift in the same direction. I just hope Oda doesn't create an ultimate being.

This was foreshadowed when Ulquiorra was first introduced. When Ichigo was fighting Yammy and his hollow interfered, Ulquiorra specifically said that Ichigo's spiritual pressure started becoming unstable. When it's low it's shit but when it's high it's higher than his own. So when exactly would the spiritual pressure be higher? That's this moment. Ulquiorra tore off Ishida's arm in the manga. There's a special chapter on Ulquiorra's backstory but the special chapter is like a poem if you're interested.

Also when ulquiorra went to the world or livings with yammi and come back to "Las Noches" he say that ichigo was not worth of killing and grimmjow said something like "you should have killed ichigo " and he say in that meeting that if ichigo becomes a problem he would deal with ichigo ...

His own soul is formed from White being transferred when he was conceived, White was already a Vasto Lorde, even if a special type of vasto lorde, and Ichigo inherited all the souls and the hollow stage from White, as in a sense ship of theseus way, Ichigo is kinds lowky just White+1 newborn blank soul, and White was already super blank itself.

@@WeyardWiz Not true, listen to what he said. He wanted a 'Fair Fight'. And if this was real life, Ichigo would be correct, 2 people missing a leg and arm would have been fair. But in the Bleach World, physical bodies don't matter. It's all about Spirit pressure and abilities. It's stupidity to the extreme. To be Fair, would be both people losing their evolved states and going back to their base form. In fact, Ulquiorra was literally so weak, that just moving ended up using what little Rashi he had left and killed him. So thinking about it, Ichigo would literally have to be on Deaths Door, and just hoped he bled to death slower than Ulquiorra did, for it to be a 'fair fight'.

Kubo's writing here is amazing, Ulquiorra, a monster who cannot understand the heart took Ichigo's leaving him to become a monster, which occurred thanks to Orihime...the heart isn't something that's held alone, its shared through bonds. Ulquiorra in turn gains an understanding of the heart becoming more human at the hands of Ichigo the monster.

Tite Kubo, the author, actually said that he regretted killing Ulquiorra.

Fun fact, if you watch the "Bleach: Hell Verse" movie, the intro covers Ichigo vs Ulquiorra fight but it has different really crisp and fluid animation, people might say it's even better than the original series fight, by certain standards.

I heard the Ichigo vs Ulquiorra fight rushed in both the anime and manga because Kubo had a rushed schedule, so the fight in the movie was more like how he actually wanted it to be.

@@Xanderj89 no he couldn't control it. Mainly because stuff is explained in the manga so I'm not gonna spoil stuff. But basically if he let hollow ichigo fully control him, like no inner suppression whatsoever, VL ichigo could've been like 10 times stronger than in this episode.

When Orihime went running to Ichigo after he died I just imagined Uloquiorra saying “fuck yo homie dead” 😂

Back to back videos! LOVE IT!

It was kind of symbolic how Ulquiorra died. It's like this: Ulquiorra was born without being able to feel, smell, taste, or hear anything so his only sense was sight. He grew up in an environment where all the hollows/vasto lorde around him were black, but he was the only white one. He didn't even have a mouth so he couldn't even perform the basic obligation of a hollow (which was, of course, to eat other hollows). It was this sad background that lead to his nihilistic nature, not knowing the human emotions. But it's not until he's dying and taking his last glance at Orihime where he finally realizes the meaning of the human heart, and the emotions that humans show. This a sort of metaphor that tells the audience that because the basis of his character was largely built on the concept that he cannot feel pain or any emotion, his realization of the human heart is not meant to be. It goes against his character. I remember being so sad when I first saw Ulquiorra's death many many years ago. I had never been more emotionally invested in a character than Ulquiorra, and Ulquiorra is actually one of the oldest characters of the entire bleach series, as crazy as it is to think about it. The first two espada that were introduced were Ulquiorra and Yammy in the earlier arcs of bleach. So his death is actually most impactful, as is the death of any old series character that's been around for a while. I wish that they would have brought Ulquiorra back during the final bleach arc like they did Grimmjow. That would have been sick.

Ulquiorra is easily my favorite Arrancar, and Grimmjow is my second. They were the coolest and most interesting Hollows by far.

Ichiho vs Ulqiorra fight was the most iconic in the series. By the way, each Espada represents a aspect of death.

What will happen in these two episodes is a combination of epicness and sadness, so I'm looking forward to your reaction, and new Ichigo Hollow Form is one of the most spectacular and unexpected transformations in all anime, Lanza del Relámpago is Spectacular and Epic in the full sense of the words, is literally an atomic bomb that Ulquiorra can throw freely and the color of her outburst is insane beautiful, and of course Rip best Espada, Ulquiorra in the end, even without a heart, you showed that you can have emotions, his end is the saddest in the whole Bleach in my opinion, and have a nice night from Pitou :3

I gotta be honest, this was one of the most insane fights in the Arrancar arc. Including Ichigo vs Grimmjow round two.

What... Can you see.... In their eyes?! In defeat, I can see their demise Even though not a blow Has been struck as they have to fight! Like the wind, Far too strong..... To resist. There is no where to hide, From the force.. That will tear.. Them apart and banish their souls! Ichigo the main character loses his humanity and becomes a heartless monster while on the other hand, Ulquiorra the monster slowly gains some emotions and humanity. This fight truly holds emotional weight and is one of the best fights in all of anime history.

The reason why Ulquiorra vanished is not because he didn't feel empty anymore as a hallow, It's because of Ichigo blowing him up in half. It may regenerate his body but it can never replace the organs he lost and his body just gave up which made him fade away instead.

in this episode and especially in the manga it's kind of clear that Hollow Ichigo can see things that are outside Ichigo's inner world, by the way he cuts Ulquiorra’s arm, just like Ulquiorra did with Uryu, and holds Ulquiorra’s head just like Ulquiorra did with Ichigo

I always thought ulquorra look like orohimes dead brother, because he kind of look like him and that's why he had that attachment to her.

I remember this scene since childhood. And even now it was still epic!

If you remember back when Ichigo fought his Inner Hollow for control over his HM(Hollow Mask), they were fighting for domination over Ichigo's body, towards the end of the fight "White" as alot of people has dubbed him, told Ichigo "Dont die before the next time we meet, because if you do i will take over your body and Crush you", which is obvious what happen now. Back when Ichigo fought Byakuya he was getting slower after the fight dragged on because he hadn't mastered his Bankai which led to him almost getting crushed by the power of his own Bankai, in which 'White Mentions' and when Ichigo called out "i wanna win, i wanna win, i don't wanna lose" that made 'White' step in for him bc if Ichigo dies he'd die as well. Its the same with the "i want to protect her" in ep 271. and then there is when Ulqui and Yammy arrived in Katakura and Ulqui notes that at his highest Ichigo's Reiatsu is higher then his when he was having a tug of war with 'white' over his body, granted A Ulqui was in base form B Ichigo's Inner Hollow's Power was massively Suppressed, but it was still something Ulqui took note of especially since as soon as ichigo arrived at that scene Ulqui waved him off and called him Trash. And i am pleased that the both of you have been taking notes on the Markings on Ichigo's Hollow mask have been increasing and getting bigger kinda as subtle nod for this moment. And then you have the moment itself, fucking awsome is the only thing you could say, the design, the roar the cero's the fucking everything. I Also wanna mention that VL (Vasto Lorde) Ichigo isn't 'White" controlling the body if it was white he would of definitely started talking shit the moment he got the chance but more 'White's' Full unsuppressed Hollow Instinct, but to make it simpler just say its 'White'

Now you know that you'll come back to this shit for years XD

It really was a shame to see Ulquiorra go like that, he was a dope character with great potential to develop even further.

Unquiorra is similar to the chimera ant king in that as they became more human- the protagonist become more of a monster.

White zangetsu told ichigo to not die during encounter before this or else the “horse could become the king” this is what he meant ichigo technically died.

According to Kubo Vastolorde Ichigo and 2nd Release Ulquiorra's fight was originally supposed to be longer and much more even than it was in the anime, but the anime and manga was being rushed so he had to make it one sided. It is still probably my favorite fight in Bleach though. I feel like these 2 were probably base Aizen level for sure.

there is a theory (that i too kinda sorta like to believe :'D) that Ulquiorra didn't die because his powers ran out, but because he started to develop human emotion and in the moment he understood what the "heart" is, he went completely against his nature of being empty and emotionless and that's why he died

3:00 In the manga, Ulquiorra didn't crush Ishida's arm, he just cut it off the whole arm

The reason why Ulq dies is explained by Ulq's explanation of his regenerative abilities. "Able to regenerate everything except organs" or something along those lines depending on translation. So even though his limbs were on their way to being fully restored, any organs in the path of that slash and subsequent cero were beyond repair. RIP Ulq. You weren't evil, just an emo edgelord.

You know, the whole fight with Ulquiorra and Ichigo was the best fight for me but everytime it cuts away I be getting pissed and honestly this is the only major problem that I have with bleach, in that they would have multiple fights going on at the same time and they do the cuts in between battle, I understand the show wants to show both fights but damn when it's to extend that I am full invented in one fight and the opposite happens for the other fight. I’ve been waiting for this for Weeks.

Ichigo's full hollow form is actually a hollow in the Vasto Lorde Stage, with the power much greater than the Espada. Hence it's known as the Vasto Lorde form. The attack virtually killed him, but the hollow inside him took control of his being and resurrected him, in the Vasto Lorde form. So I guess Ichigo isn't totally dead LOL

What Ulquiorra meant was that even if Orihime could heal him, she couldn't keep him alive. For the same reasons you pointed out last time, Ulquiorra was too powerful for Ichigo to survive fighting against.
