Just amazed that he could reproduce this live. His stuff is so multi-faceted. One of the most overlooked, innovative writers to come along in the last 20 years.

I love Vast. Why don't many people know about this dude? He is amazing and you can tell that he means every word he sings, comes from the heart. Why do people fail sometimes to recognise true excellence?

This was the second song I heard by Vast and i was like , This is too cool , Loved two in a row. Been a fan now fore a few years , always looking for the new CD's. Now I love all the work by VAST !! Can't get enough !

Another Underestimated Track. Besides "Touched," this one is STILL a BANGER!!!

I love the line, "Now I'm left like a flag atop a moon". Great line in a great song!

The best part of this band is the bass player.My cousin Mike:)

Those times were crazy, the shows were sexy, and the music was badass. Good times, noodle salad.

Dp they do still live concerts. I love vast

its a shame how underrated vast is

y'know. I get the same kind of goosebumps whenever i hear Vast, as i do when i hear Porcupine Tree. And that is very positive :-)

I know this comment is a million years old, but... You're literally me lol!! I was the same age and altho I'm american, I heard it first over there visiting the Frisian half of my family.

The beginning got screwed up somehow but he brought it back..

Jon has lost some weight since this video, he is working on it, leave him alone. If you love the man for his music than leave his weight out of it. I know it's his health, but it's his choice, his life. I am pretty sure Jon would not apreciate your comment

Vast, i love you!

This performance is much better than I had remembered when I watched it in 2004. I guess the quality that was mentioned earlier was the thing. I could care less about the image comments. Nude was incredible, as was the 2009 show I watched, which had a keyboardist. :-) I believe "Desert Garden" was the other song performed on the show that night.

Jon, who gives a rats about his weight. As long as he is happy, and healthy, who cares. His music is awesome. It will remain in a spicial place in the history of music.

unlike most groups vast doesnt need to rely on an image to carry them, no band would if they could write music hualf as good as vast.

It's stupid to be superficial and judge his looks, he is beautiful both inside and out, what he creates makes him a million times better looking than your everyday slab of meat. Jon Crosby is simply amazing.

They still do stuff occasionally iirc. Just tapered down a lot. Michael Cry (the bass player) was my dad's roommate for a bit and they would occasionally do a show or maybe a tour but not anything too consistent.

Jon's recording things for music now, actually. About live shows, I don't know, but I want to see VAST perform live SO bad.

@Redacity Just thought it would be interesting to point out, that the drummer who in fact recorded the original drum tracks commented here below you, and mentioned he thought the drummer in the video performed just fine. No biggie, I just read the comments and thought it was ironic.

wow, do i love this song. The live version isn't nearly as good as on the album, where the singing in much crisper, and the background choir brings the song from great to epic.

@4theloveofdill Ironically, the drummer who played drums on the album commented here dude, and said he the musician playing drums in this video did a fine job. plus, before you get all crazy flame war on me, the drummer in the video's kid also commented here so keep it clean. :) Its a small internet these days i guess, heh.

It's not about his size.. it never has been. I've been lucky enough to hang out with him, and the band in a previous incarnation. on a couple occasions (even have pics). He has always had self image issues.. and was under MAJOR pressure to lose weight before sony would even release the first album.. and about killed himself to look the way he did.. that look the girls love.. was never healthy for him. so it's best to let it go.. that Jon was the package the label sold you..
