According to his achievements, is surely the GOAT. Top scorer and assist man in Euroleague,top scorer and assist man in Greek League. Left eternal rival Panathinaikos, a whole team with superstars, to create independent his legend. He suffered in OAKA,from Panathinaikos fans cursing him countless times and still replied with cold blood... If he had stayed in Panathinaikos with euroleague legend Diamantidis,maybe now Panathinaikos would have 10 euroleague titles and my team Olympiacos still just one... But he even put his signature,a buzzer beater 3 point,in Diamantidis retirement game! How many unforgettable last moment-shots,how many times eliminated CSKA alone... All the top class teams,these giants of European basketball from 2012 to 2017,seemed just normal in front of the king,sir Vassilis Spanoulis... He ignored even Obradovic,that every basketball player begging to be with him! He is a giant,a myth, the 13th god of ancient Greeks. Thanks for everything kill Bill and because you didn't leave Olympiacos when other teams asked you. You restored the pride of Olympiacos after 15 years,with the back to back Euroleague championships plus two more finals that we lost... I can't really describe how much happiness you gave me without knowing,or how many times you inspired me to fight in these struggle years for Greece... We are hoping that you will get a key role in Olympiacos BC,in the future. Happy life with your family, idol of Luka Doncic.

Whenever Efes or Fenerbahce played Olympiakos, I was always on my toes knowing that they had Spanoulis. The greatest European basketball player ever. It was such a joy to watch him ball out. Thank you for many great memories.

Spanoulis what a clutch shooter
The greatest Greek basketball player of all time. He won 3 Euroleague titles, as mvp, 2 of them without having expensive players next to him. He became the top scorer of all time in the Euroleague. He was "all of you and me alone". The only Greek basketball player who surpassed the huge Nikos Galis.

@@harryhoudini1669 Don't get me wrong. Giannis is a phenomenon and what he has achieved is amazing. But if we try to be objective he does not have the skills and talent of Durant, Lebron, or Doncic for example. If you look closely into Giannis' game you will see that 8 out of 10 plays are based on his body. And yes, in this thread we were talking about european basketball. Which is way more hard and rough than the NBA because it is based on teamwork, strategy, and defense. And trust me, Giannis himself has confirmed what i say in many interviews...

What a player he was. My first basketball game I watched in a stadium was Galatasaray vs Olympiacos and man that game went to overtime and Spanoulis was doing his magic all around the court. Spanoulis you are one beast of a player, much love and respect from Turkey, you made me love basketball.

Η Ευρωλίγκα έκανε το βίντεο, περίμενες κάτι διαφορετικό απτην Ευρωλίγκα; Άντε να διαλυθεί να γίνει ένωση με ΦΙΜΠΑ να γίνει ένα κανονικό πρώταθλημα Ευρώπης κάποια στιγμη που δε θα αβανταρουν μόνο 4-5ομαδες

Ginobili was literally one of the better players in his era, definitely top 20 in the NBA when he played there. That's not bad at all. Although they play nothing alike

Το μεγάλο πρόβλημα του Σπανουλη δεν ήταν το αγωνιστικό αλλά το θέμα χαρακτήρα και αυτό είναι που στην συνείδηση όλων των Παναθηναικων δεν θέλουν ούτε να τον ακούν όχι να τον βλέπουν κιόλας. Το πρόβλημα του βλέπετε ότι το έχει ο ίδιος γιατί ενώ έχει πάρει περισσότερους τίτλους με τον Παναθηναϊκο και έγινε αυτό που έγινε μέσω Παναθηναϊκου αυτός δεν κάνει καμία αναφορά σε αυτή την περίοδο της καριέρας του. Αυτό δείχνει το ποσό μικρός είναι ως άνθρωπος και το κόμπλεξ που βγάζει γιατί δεν μπορεί να το αποδεχτεί ότι ο ΔΙΑΜΑΝΤΙΔΗΣ είχε, έχει και θα έχει την απόλυτη αναγνώριση από τους φίλους του Παναθηναϊκου για την αγωνιστική τους προσφορά αλλά και ως χαρακτήρας. Εκεί είναι το μεγάλο χάσμα μεταξύ αυτών των δύο ο χαρακτήρας τους και αυτό δεν θα μπορέσει να το ξεπεράσει με τίποτα. Ούτε να πει ένα ευχαριστώ που όταν παρακαλούσε να γυρίσει από το NBA και τον φέρανε πίσω και πήρε και Euroleague αλλά και την εκπαίδευση-τεχνογνωσια που του εδωσε ο Ομπραντοβιτς και ο Παναθηναϊκός ως σύλλογος.
