Särmä Windproof series has been such a popular thing that we decided to make an anorak too. Anorak is like a regular jacket but a pullover model. This means you'll have to do it in a slightly different manner, and the lack of any front closure gives space for a nice, big, handy kangaroo pocket.

GENERAL FEATURES
A large head opening with zipper and button closure, very versatile
A large hood with adjustments to every directions, please take some time to try these out, it can be tailored extremely well
Looong side zippers make donning, doffing and ventilation easy
Hem longer on the back
Hook 'n' loop adjustments on the sleeve
POCKETS
A large kangaroo pocket on the front
Handwarmer pocket with warm fleece lining behind the kangaroo pocket
Hook 'n' loop base and zippered pocket on the other sleeve
Material
Made of the familiar 65/35% polycotton. Some colors may transfer from the product before the first wash. Machine-wash at 40° C / 104° F. Additionally, the fabric has a light PU coating for windproofing. The whole package breathes very well.
The Särmä Windproof fabric responds well to treatment with Särmä Fabric Wax or Woly Protector spray. A thorough impregnation with wax makes the garment waterproof. Apply as necessary!

👍 .. Varusteleka .. Good, well-priced Gear with excellent no BS service .. my first choice for a look-see when looking for something that I most probably don't need 😊 .. but cannot survive without. The Särma Brand .. I've got some of their items and they haven't disappointed to date. The knife .. I've got the 140 in Carbon Steel. Agree, Bomb Proof. Thanks for sharing.

Personnaly with a rucksack I've found that the map pocket/ handwarmer is perfectly usable with both straps on

Seems nice. Would like a very large snout in the hood like on some Fjällräven and Garphyttan. Wished it came without velcro. Hate Velcro. Would like som me buttons or string.

Very good info m8. Love the map pocket and the ventilation and more. Thnx m8 Wished it had a large tunnel in the hood to protect face in severe weather. At leaast 3 inches further than now. Some wire would also fit. Also, ban velcro and use buttons. Heavy duty buttons.

I’ve modded mine by putting shock cord in the hems. I’m also going to get the side zips shortened to a similar length as the Buffalo shirts. The trousers in the same range are really comfy too.

I have the smock and it is good. considered getting the anorak but after getting the womens parka and it being a dud I don't want to risk it. Also beware if you get a dud you are SOL.

Wooly, great review and completely torn between this and the Hilltrek - price a huge driver between the two. What was it like in the wet and drizzle? Do you think you could reach out to Varusteleka and see if they would send you a Särmä TST Woolshell Jacket? I have heard great things about this jacket, but there are few online reviews that I would trust. I know that you really like the the Woolshell trousers. I would love you hear your thoughts on the Woolshell jacket. Varusteleka if you are reading this - send Wooly the Woolshell jacket.
