Vario 1/4 scale Schweizer 300C Helicopter - Mavic 2 Pro video test

Ғылым және технология

Working on filming RC aircraft with the Mavic Pro. While point of interest is a sustainable flight mode when filming a hovering helicopter, Active Track frequently loses the object even when the Mavic is in a stationary hover with the helicopter slowly circling the drone.
Regardless, was sure as sh#$ fun trying!
At what I'm betting is 45 lba, the Schweizer is heavy and underpowered. Video shows it needs some head gain adjustment and a little more head speed (flying at 900 rpm but 12S and 295 kv combine to cap it out, so the gov has no headroom). I will likely put a 400 kv motor in it shortly.
Anyway, Many thanks to Chris Langley and Mike Keigwin for piloting the Mavic.
Thanks for watching,
Mike

Just to dial-in the accuracy Mike. The TH-55 is the Army's version of the Hughes 269a. I did my 50 hours in Primary, in them in JAN/FEB/MAR 1987 at Fort Rucker, AL. That is a beautiful ship and superb video.

I had thought so as well until Bryan Cobb (below poster) explained to me why with two tanks it would be on the left. See my reply to Bryan.
