Isn’t this the true magic that lies in KZread? I’m sitting in my lounge on a wet Sunday evening in troubled and troubling times. And here this staggeringly talented young person freely gives a world-class performance of her beautiful art. Sharing both her craft and her love, blessing the luthier with her expression of his work, blessing the composer with her arrangement, blessing us with her precious gift, asking nothing in return for the tens of thousands of hours practising and pain and faith that carpeted the long path bringing her here. Bless her. Bless her from the bottom of my heart.

So, here Stephanie shows both a sort of elfin wit in the allegrettos & prestos, yet also an almost dreamy quality in adagio/lento variations - neither approach do I remember in anyone else's playing of this famous piece. She is a very original artist, without forced novelty. Fortunate for us that she seems to have arranged a pretty decent audio recording setup for her around-the-house or around-the-hotel room "concert hall. " Oh, yes - a couple of miniscule not-quite-perfect touches; nice that she has a real pro performer's instinct to blow right past them. Impressive in all respects.
