ABOUT VARAHA ROOPAM SONG
We are all familiar with the story of Varaha Avatar, the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This incarnation has a special place in the Puranas and at the same time this avatar is also a challenge for science. There are many questions regarding this incarnation and taking Hiranyaksha into the sea, I have answered those questions in a nutshell from both faith and science point of view in Varaha Roopam. The singer's voice has been used in the song along with Kannada lines from the soundtrack of famous movies like Kantara.
ABOUT VARAHA AVATAR
The Varaha Avatar is the third incarnation of the ten incarnations (Dashavatara) of the Hindu god Lord Vishnu. As per the Hindu mythology, it was the demon named Hiranyaksha who dragged the Earth to the bottom of the sea. It was Lord Vishnu who took the form of a boar (Varaha Avatar) to rescue it. They fought for a full thousand years.
After that, the Varaha Avatar slew the demon and raised the Earth out of the waters using his tusks. Varaha Avatar is represented in full animal form or with the head of a boar and body of the man. The divine purpose of Varaha Avatar was to restore Dharma or righteousness and save the planet earth from the hands of demons or Asuras.

But this is not the Vahara Avatar of Lord Vishnu, this is one of the bhootha Gana of Lord Shiva. He takes shape of a Wild Boar which is called 'Panchi' in Tulu Language(a local language in south Karnataka). Thats how the name 'Panchurli God' came into being. You ll see the lyrics says its Lord Shiva. That why the lead charachter is named Shiva and also his tree house is called "Kailasa" in the movie.
