ABOUT SONG
Through ‘Radhe Govinda’ song I have tried to portray the story of Goloka when Sridama cursed Radha Rani to be separated from Sri Krishna. Sridama, who was a great devotee of Lord Krishna, believed that the place of devotion is always higher than love. That’s why he did not accept at all that any person should take the name of Radha before Krishna. The pride of his devotion had put a veil in his eyes, due to which he cursed Radha Rani in anger. Bhajan (Radhe Govinda) sung by Acyuta Gopi has been used in this song. I have tried to present this beautiful bhajan of her in my musical style in front of you. I hope ‘Radhe Govinda’ will make a special place in your heart.
SHRIDAMA’S CURSE
hridhama was a friend and a devotee of Shri Krishna, who believed that Bhakti (devotion) is higher than Prem (live). Therefore, he did not want people to take Radha's name before Krishna's. One day, Shridhama was so furious with Radha that he cursed her by saying that she would lose her memory and forget all about Krishna. Thus, by saying so, he sent her to the earth for hundred years.
