Just bought an N4. Already liking it more than my previous dashcam, Garmin Mini 2. Also, regarding your comment at 12:57, the N4 came with a wedge tool. I'm so glad I watched your video because I'm holding that thing wondering what the heck it is.

Yeah it’s an easy product to use and doesn’t break the bank. I like this and the X4S but that one doesn’t have an in cabin camera.

Thanks for the review! It looks like the adhesive or suction mounts are the only option if you want gps and speed. I'd like the option of using their mirror mount if the other mounts are a problem

Thank you for the thorough and objective comparative review. I was debating the N2 vs N4 and your video helped me decide the N4 was best for my situation. In future videos, would love to see you include: whether there's a way to turn off audio recording since some states have strict recording consent laws; videos on a highway to see how the resolution looks at higher speeds.

Thanks for the review. One of the best. I'm a very picky person when it comes to color reproduction. What I notice in the video is that the color on the interior camera, while only 1080P, has a much brighter picture with much better color than the front facing 4K camera! I mean, it's dramatic. We have 2 KDLink cameras, 1080p and they produce amazing color and brightness, even at night as does the interior camera in this video. To be honest, I thought about maybe buying this 3 cam outfit with the GPS module, but I wouldn't be happy with the flat color and kinda of dim picture on the front camera. Dang it!

Absolutely THE best review ever...! Thank you for your insight on this/these camera(s). Im going to buy the N4 mainly because of the interior camera. It has the best resolution and wide angle of the interior. You can actually see from the front edge of both passenger and driver's side windows!!! That is extremely important for side impact crashes/accidents. Thank you for taking the time to produce this video!🙏

We have the Vantrue N4 on 3 of our cars. One of our cars got totaled when a person ran their red light 5 seconds late. Of course the other person said they had the red light, and we had no witnesses, and the cops didn’t have a cctv at that intersection. This camera saved us, I showed the footage to the cops and end of story about who’s fault it was. Camera did cut out on impact as it was knocked off the windshield but we will stick with this camera (I have started switching over to the adhesive mounts with gps now though)

@@HGAviator I thinks that’s a good choice overall. It’s easy to buy accessories for them if the need comes (mounts, power cords, rear camera). And we did have a camera that started shutting off and coming back on randomly but support was good to deal with and highly technical and they sent a new unit in the end. If you have any questions then I would hope that I can help you out because we do use these regularly.

@@PineappleBaconPizza Yes I did, it was the result of planning previously but we kept a longer USB-C cord in the glove box of our car. I used that long cord and plugged it into the side of the camera (the port on the side of the camera that is used for the rear camera can also be used to power on the camera). I was able to find the video quickly because it was the last thing that happened on the camera before we crashed. The camera was knocked off the windshield (suction cup mount) and our car lost power (hardwired with OBD connector). But when our car got its power back I used it to find the video, and later when the cops asked what happened we still have to give them our side of the story but they looked at the video afterwards. (We are in California) The only part the worried me was that the cops wanted to take the SD card so they could copy the video to their computer at the station. I was in suspense for a little bit because I was hoping the video didn’t get deleted accidentally but they dropped the SD card off at our house about an hour later (the gave us a ride home because we were less than a half a mile away from home) and I was able to copy it onto my laptop.

I've been looking for a cam for weeks and was almost settling for Thinkware over Blackvue despite it being way too expensive. Mostly due to features I don't use or don't want to use like GPS. This Vantrue is exactly the cam I wanted all along! It has the expected longevity of a premium, doing the core of dashcams with ease and properly. Obd connector native on the site, nice pricing, selective SD card, capacitors, USB c, IR interior, no GPS, screen in car, perfect! Subpar industrial design I'm willing to accept.

@@Ym-uo5xn be fine but when it’s darker outside it won’t be as clear as you’ll get more grain in low light.

I have the vantrue N2 pro dual I just got a 2020 Toyota Camry so I hope the third camera fits in the back window since I just ordered the N4 today I hope I like it also Samsung genuine select ev SD card I got as well all coming from Amazon Sunday

I definitely noticed the white lancer evolution 3 in the footage

The N2 Pro works really well but compared to the new N4 Pro it’s a huge difference not only with the video the audio as well. I will have to upgrade my camera. I use N2 pro for my ride share driving and sometimes it’s hard to pick up the audio in the back. That’s crazy I was recommended to use the transcend micro SD card for the past three years without any issues so far.

I had a 4 channel dash cam long before this one was released!!!

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog . One use of it is in old time communications because it uses each letter of the alphabet. When sending messages as text it makes sure each key works.

My N4 came with a trim tool. Not sure if they heard you or not, but i got one. I believe the wiring kit you promoted is only good for hardwiring the cam. You need a 3 wire to utilize the parking monitor feature. I purchased the Plozoe hardware kit with G sensor smart parking mode cable. Thanks for the video I found it very helpful. Next time you'll need to add an alternate dog barking ending for those of us who prefer the K9's 😆

Is the N4 better?

Whenever i feel like i want to shoot Video of both the Front doors these cameras have Option to Shoot outside at any time like a Vlogger and do not want to shoot video of (Front and inside the Rear Room) , then the SKYBLUESEA B2W & CAMSONIC ULTRA Z 2 & 3 Dash Cam Benefits if a person want to shoot a video outside the front doors sides Left & Right , would be easy to change the direction to Multiple Angles of both the Cams accordingly , option to Rotate , as they Rotates 180 degrees . I love those Dash Cams .

Just started looking for a dash cam for a 2021 4Runner TRD so your video is perfect. Is there anything I should consider when purchasing this that would be specific to a new 4Runner? I like the 3 videos ability, specifically because the cabin video also seems to work as a side view for the back half of the vehicle.

I strongly advice you guys to buy Samsung endurance sd card , it's not that much more and it's built for this stuff

In the instruction manual it recommends using Vantrue’s micro sd card. Not arguing but just want to bring this to light. You can use any micro sd card as long as it’s U3 or higher including the Samsung pro endurance micro as which is a few bucks cheaper than Vantrue’s. I’m personally going to go with the recommendation because if anything happens, I know I did everything right on my end, know what I mean

@@Topic_____542 of course every manufacturer will recommend his , Viofo recommends Viofo ones , in a industry tho I think san disk endurance are among the best , along side Samsung endurance, speed rating is one thing , but I would strongly recommend to check type of the memory as well . Those endurance series are not usual cards , they are really made for many writes

I like the dash cam excluding the front Cam , should have two extra rotating lens for rear view as well could rotate on both the front doors left/right too , rotate/swivel 170 degree each side lens . So whoever comes to the either door he/she should be Clearly be captured in the video .

I especially like that you mentioned this camera REQUIRES a VanTrue SDHC card - that SanDisk & Transcend cards don't work. That effectively add another $50 for each VanTrue 256GB SDHC card I buy. I also especially like the 160º field of view of the cabin camera, wide enough to record a contact with a Police Officer & wide enough to capture a car & hopefully a license plate # if a car slams into either side of my car.

Hello. Thank you very much for the video Amazing camera, so sad that it doesn't have the reversing guide lines in the rear camera. Is there any possibility that you can post a raw video file? I want to check if the video itself stores the GPS data encrypted in the video or in a separated file in the SD card. I can check it with only one video file.

Question about parking mode: Do all the cameras record when an event happens, either motion sensor or impact? I’ve read only the front camera records and does so for a short period of time like 10 seconds.

The whole reason why I haven’t purchased one of these yet is because of the pour audio quality. Waiting for that to be fixed or a new model to come out. Live stream capability needs to be an option for these as well. I think their sales would sky rocket with that fix and addition.

Good video review and excellent points on the App being unnecessary, USB-C and Super Capacitor. Unfortunately, the reviewer falls victim to the five most critical items: In an accident, police & insurance co will ask you: License Plate, Make, Model, Color, and outdoor audio. The reviewer never shows any of these important recording examples, but focuses on Uber/Lyft features like indoor audio/video.
