Ivan IS a legend, and this is the first time I've ever heard him speak this much ever. One thing I respect most about Ivan ,it seems like to him action speaks louder than words. Has anyone seen him destroy a skateboard just from riding it? Absolutely awesome.

Pretty commonplace for all youngest brothers in sports. Little Colapinto, TJ Watt, Staal, the youngest always carry around an admirable humbleness about them probably from being beaten into a strong body and mind from all of us older brothers out there😂

Same and when he laughed, he sounded just like Nathan. lol I never heard Ivan talk that much. He is an awesome surfer though.
hands down of all the florence bros his style is the best. his style in general is one of my favorites. its just incredible. its wild how each brother brings a totally different type of talent to surfing. but end of day ivan is the funnest to watch just from his flow stand point. seamless in a way thats hard to find.

Is it just me or he has got 2 different styles backside and frontside I find his frontside much more aggressive as if it was another person when his backhand surfing is very skaty and rail to rail
Amazing surfer . Had the fortune of surfing a secret spot in Cape Town with him . He’s gnarly. We where in this cove in the middle of nowhere, only us out and we didn’t say a word to each other . I liked that about him. 😊

The Florence style is mentally strong and immune to nearly any weapon when properly used its almost invincible. Big ups to Ivan one of the 3 Deadly Venoms of the Florence family straight up slayer.

For that matter the entire Florence family is a legend and who can decide which is the best surfer Nathan John John or Ivan all three are epic. Personally I think the entire group that hangs out with the Florence family are epic when you figure in all the different surfers that they hang out with, every one of them are at least an eight on a scale of 1 to 10. A team that includes the Rothman Brothers, Billy Kemper, plus all three Florence Brothers, a team like that's going to be hard to beat.

They Florences have a strange gene that holds them back IMO in competitive surfing. They have all said it, where they like competition but don't like competition -- haha. You can see it in their surfing sometimes where the competitiveness is too much for them whereas someone like Slater and Medina are ruthless 24/7. The more competitive it gets the better Slater and Medina get.

@@MD69BarrelKilla For as good as JJF is... would you say he wins as often as he should? Or not as often as he should? Or more often than he should? I think he should have won twice as much as he has with his talent. I think he falters under pressure whereas Medina, Andy Irons, and Slater would strive under pressure.

Andy and Kelly are in their own category for sure. They are both freaks. But other than that John is at the top in regards to competitors.
Mom Florence was smart to not let her kids watch tv.. instead sending her kids out to the beach, ocean, biking, skating, and travel the world. These brothers are down to earth good humans. Well done Ms Florence!!
