How you are expanding my musical horizons! I would never have known about this beautiful singer. I love the song and the fact that the melody is derivative completely escaped me. One could even make a medley and throw in the Eriskay love lilt for good measure!

Is her voice interesting? And has naturally modified the vowels into a forward position. I imagine her speaking voice is that way also. It gives a terrific edge and allows great access to the top.

I see the appeal of the vowel modification. My teacher would never let me do that. I wonder if it is a conscious decision or just a carry-over from her mother tongue accent. I really like the sweetness of her voice.@@BangkokVoiceCoach
