I concur in 2021. Lenna's voice is amazing and Vanilla Ninja should have won it. All time Eurovision Song Contest great. A Classic!

This song literally changed my life. When I heard it, I realized what kind of music I want. Because of Cool Vibes, I found Evanescence, Within Temptation, other bands. Later - metal, like Kamelot, Nightwish, Swallow the Sun and others. And I found gothic art with gothic philosophy as well. My tastes got evolved and refined. Everything - taste for music, artstyle, ideology, video games and everything evolved in this way because of one, great song in 2005. So even if I am a fan of metal, I always watch Eurovision. Sadly, no Eurovision will ever be like the one in 2005.

After 16 years I still come back to this song again and again. It's extremely rare for me to remember a Eurovision song especially this old. I love it. The song itself is dynamic but it also makes me feel pain for some unknown reason.

Now 17 years. It’s Lenna’s voice. She has the bewitching ability to reach inside and mess with your feelings. Cool Vibes is good but many other of their other songs go deeper. So many songs where Lenna reaches into your soul. Go listen ‘Silence’. 🤗

This video was ‘quietly’ posted 12 years late and long after the event. You’d think 12 years later and now 16 years on in 2021, especially while the band was then dormant, everybody would have forgotten about this performance. Viewers have had to search for it as it’s hidden away, but even so over half a million views, and it’s still popular in late 2021. I can only imagine the millions of views this would have accumulated if it had been presented at the time in 2005 when fresh. From this first exposure and one time listen, I discovered this Estonian band and became the huge fan. This Switzerland entry - Vanilla Ninja singing ‘Cool Vibes’ live, is an all time ESC classic great! 🥇⭐👏

The type of song which was not the winner song but you can never forget!!!! Love this song!! ❤❤❤

A current Eurovision lacks such awesome songs like this.

An Estonian band brought Switzerland their best position in years while Estonia didn't even qualify in 2005 because they were only 20th in the semi. Vanilla Ninja had the last laugh.

@@doggdogg6019 But at least Laura Poldvere was better in 2017. She and Koit Toome finished 14th in semi-final 2. Didn't qualify, but "Verona" was a bop. "Let's get loud" is a failed attempt at being the Spice Girls.

Still get goosebumps after all these years, especially at the last chorus. The best swiss entry!

@@loffeltv7186 Firstly if you don’t already know Vanilla Ninja are the great group even now in 2023. Lenna Kuurmaa the exceptional singer. Search here 'Vanilla Ninja mega list'. In 2005 Vanilla Ninja popular in their home country Estonia and becoming more so across Europe, failed to win to represent Estonia. Estonia didn’t want them, and instead the selected Estonian band didn’t even make it to qualify for the ESC. Switzerland not having any success for decades thought to engage Vanilla Ninja, plus also their then manager David Brandes was part German / Swiss. So VN won to represent Switzerland. Fortunately that’s where I first discovered VN and since been the big fan.

I'm so in love with the vocals! So strong!

I have watched Eurovision every year since 2004. When I watch I have a pen and some note paper. I write down the singers and bands whose songs I like. In 2005 I became a fan of Vanilla Ninja.

This is one of the best export articles of the country Estonia, as the singers were imported for Switzerland performance. The lead singer of vanilla Ninja Lenna Kuurmaa now lives in private house in idyllic South-Estonia region Setomaa and raises three kids. She is a very nice person as well as the other members of the band.

This became my favourite band of my early teens and they influenced what other bands I listened to and even my clothing style. They truly were my first independent experience of music and being a ”fan” of a group! Love from Sweden ❤️

About 20years ago I knew them ,and2022 now I am listening to them finding that my taste in music has never changed.

I've been watching MTV since I was 4 or 5, and Blue Tattoo by Vanilla Ninja was one of my favourite songs. Didn't know they took part in Eurovision ^~^

2005, the year when Switzerland *really* wanted to win, as Vanilla Ninja was then one of the most popular bands in Europe :) Really great song, even in 2017 it sounds nice :3

They applied twice to enter for estonia and got reuected, so the swiss ones took them as they were famous in Switzerland

So many years and this song is the most stuck in my head and I hum it all the time. The band got at least second place. 2005 was a great year with iconic songs. They don't make songs like this anymore...

Surprisingly there were a few decent songs at Eurovision in 2005, with this many say was the best. Plus for many they still continue to listen and hum Cool Vibes decades later. A classic ESC song that didn’t win. Vanilla Ninja and Lenna continue to make great songs. If you’ve not already - search for Vanilla Ninja: ‘Waterfalls’, ‘The Reason Is You’, ‘Encore’, ‘No Regrets’ for a few recent songs. 🎤🤗

This song was first song when I met Vanilla Ninja music. I like this song, this song should won ESC 2005.

I was a 10 year old lad 2005, and I don't think I've watched this since then but I still to this day remember the song, the melody stuck in my head. I have no memory of the performance so this was really odd for me to watch but the song still hit right in the feels.

I know this is your option but im sorry because i disagree. The song from Greece was very catchy and amazing. Αlso greece had the best stage presence of all countries. And also the girl was beautiful. Soooo i think the voting result was good.
