No sé cómo describir está obra musical ....pero recuerdo que una vez manejaba mi auto a medianoche y en un llano no se por que detuve el carro apague El motor y dejé a todo volumen está canción , bajé del carro y me quedé mirando las estrellas , contemplando el universo y tal vez el rostro de mi hermano fallecido , mi papá también fallecido hasta que terminó la canción y me marché.......gracias EVANGELOS ODYSSEAS PAPATHANASIOUS.... I love the music of Vangelis, I have been a fan since I was a kid and my older brother got the Aphrodite's Child and then I just picked up his albums when I would see them. He's truly amazing and I also love what he did with Jon Anderson.

Hans Zimmer gets praised for his work, which I do. But no composer can create music which fully captures every sensation than Vangelis. Picture lying on something which your arms and legs are suspended in the air or water (bench, pool lilo etc) and with your eyes closed listening to this song on earphones and having this music the cause of your hands and fingers to automatically move to the grace and magnificence of this song with the movement of your head and facial expressions joining in. Doing this, I can't see someone not feeling revitalised and charged being able to overcome any problem in their life. Cant think of a better "me time" either.

I remember when Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" first aired. I was 11, it aired Sundays on PBS, and there was nothing like it. Nothing. Computer animation. Science. An awesome personality with Dr. Sagan. And wrapping it all up was the music of Vangelis. It was mind-blowing, and every episode was ground-breaking. There was one episode where Dr Sagan imagined what living on a world circling a star in a globular cluster would be like. Instead of a sunrise, the entire Milky Way galaxy would rise, a billion billion stars rising as one. On the screen was a real beautiful beach at night, and a gentle, lapping ocean; and somehow they superimposed a spiral galaxy, slowly rising from the ocean. And the theme music was Vangelis' "Heaven and Hell". I will never forget that. To this day, it is one of the most beautiful moments I've ever experienced, in no small part because of Vangelis. Cosmos introduced a life-long love of Vangelis' incredible, timeless music.

Thank you for that genuinely enjoyable anecdote. I've always loved his Blade Runner soundtack, it would appear there's a lot from him to explore. All of his music has this ethereal, dreamlike atmosphere to it that I've never heard replicated (no pun intended) by any other composer.

This is the most wonderful relaxing music. I don’t remember it being so good when I watched Blade Runner in the 80s. I think I was too in love with the cyborg, Sean Young I think her name was.

Vangelis' incredible work completes the movie and lifts it from a mediocre sci-fi into an emotional masterpiece. Still has the power to move me, decades and hundreds of exposures later.
