To me, this song sounds like it’s about a desire to repair a broken relationship. The line “Looking like that, you’ll open some wounds” makes me think of an ex that every time I see a photo of her or someone talks about her, the hurt of missing her comes back just a little at a time. So to me, this song is about trying to tell that person that you miss them, you want them back, and you are with them to the end. 💛

This song makes me think of how it was on my first date with my husband. We wanted to be together, but wondered if we might be jumping in too soon. He reminded me just how good it could be. It's how when it is right and you know it. It can be hard-- you risk opening wounds-- but what becomes most important to you is seeing the other person shine. A stunningly beautiful song.
