Join me on another thrilling episode of Expediting America, where my trusty road companion Bubba Joe and I tackle time-critical freight across the vast landscapes of America. In this video, I confront a major challenge with my Mercedes Sprinter Van 2500 170 high roof 4-cylinder gasoline engine. Recently, a violent shake in the front of the van had me concerned, prompting a visit to Fields Motors Mercedes in Lakeland, Florida. Follow along as I uncover the cause behind this issue and the steps taken to resolve it. Don't miss this exciting journey through the heart of America's hauling adventures!

    We're a gullible society. All that glitters is not gold. They seen you coming. Mechanic shops are a racket. There's so much nefarious "behind the scenes" conniving going on, it's disgusting. I took my G2500 to a transmission shop in Houston. A smooth talking silver tongued slime ball, tells me everyone else is a crook, but he will sell me only what's needed. Next day, he quotes me $5600!! I said, no, drop the hoist! He then said wait! How about $3495?! I said hell no! That's even worse! These are criminals, protected only by your agreement and the relinquishing of your keys to them, making it Civil. Otherwise, they could do jail time for fraud.

    1. Don’t consider a dually. The width between the wheel wells is a no go. 2. It may be worth considering trading yours in on a new one. You will be upside down on your trade in, but, imo, it’d be worth the extra monthly payment to know you’ll be maintenance free for a long while. Also you know every single mile that is put on it. Worth the price too me. Just a few thoughts. Safe Travels!!!

  • @ExpeditingAmerica

    @ExpeditingAmerica

    8 ай бұрын

    Yeah naw never a dually unless I built a false floor but they would defeat the purpose of having more cubic space. I think I’m keeping mine. Right now I pay super low interest. Now if I went it would easily be 10% with my credit. That’s what would kill me long term. I figure worse comes to worse I might need a new transmission but even doing that would be cheaper than going new right now. If I could get them to come down to the mid 40s I’d make a deal tho. Not to replace this one but to get another

    Doing it the right way is always good piece of mind. When was the last time you had the dealership service your transmission? Willing to bet it will take the rest of the shutter away, the mom and pop's shops cool but most don't change the transmission connector when doing the transmission service mostly fluid and filter and send you on. It's something about that dealership gives us piece of mind knowing they do it right a bit pricey if we are honest but that's the cost of doing business and the piece of mind surpasses the extra $200. Glad everything worked out and you were able to get in. Stay Safe, Stay Blessed
