What a nice couple. I like cork usage for insulation. Also keeping the electric system as simple as possible make sense to me. Some of conversions look like 747 cockpits The money are much better spent on travel expenses. All the best to you!

Gefällt mir wirklich supergut! Das Einzige, das mir echt fehlen würde ist eine z.B. Komposttoilette und eine Dusche. Von mir aus outdoor. 🙋🏼💪👍👌👋🏼🐩

Endlich mal ein Van ohne Luxus-Ausbau, d.h. machbar ohne jahrelange Planung oder Geld wie Heu. Gefällt mir. Für mich wäre diese Variante Vanlife im Winter allerdings zu ungemütlich. Ich bin aber auch bestimmt doppelt so alt oder noch älter ;-) Von Frühling bis Herbst immer mal wieder für kurz, ein paar Wochen oder mehr möchte ich das trotzdem machen, sobald mein Kind flügge ist und mir damit einen Traum verwirklichen. Hoffentlich hab ich dann noch genug Energie dafür, das auch wirklich noch durchzuziehen.

Danke!!! Vanilla ist wirklich nicht gemacht für den deutschen Winter. Das muss ich zugeben. Mal für ein paar Woche in die Kälte, das geht schon dank Standheizung, aber durchgehend nasser winter würde auf Dauer zu anstrengend.

@@wolke2010 es wird vermutlich wieder Diesel. Ich teste gerade ein Fahrzeug mit Gas Heizung. Das gefällt mir nicht so.

Hey, die LPS hat schon echt Power und durch die Solarpanele lädt sie ja auch nach. Bisher ist es noch nicht passiert, dass die Batterie ausgegangen ist, nur vom Heizen. Schon eher mal, nach ein paar Arbeitstagen

I came here from your new van build video, both great builds! Tho I for myself prefer the floorplan of the new one even more :D But looking at this setup I was wondering whether you don't use some sort of fridge, as it looks like you travel a lot in warmer regions?

Hey Laurenz, yes, I didn't have a fridge in my old van. Well, in the beginning I had, you can see it in the vantour or the indie projects. That was the first version of my van. But I didn't use it for half a year and more so I decided to use the space differently. I am eating vegan most of the time and veggies don't need special cooling. My new Van Stracciatella won't have a fridge either.

Congratulation! I have two questions: is yours T4 SYNCRO and how you can make a diner during bad weather? We have NISSAN PATROL with a tent on the top but we have big problem when is cold and raining. We are looking for solutions. :) Alles gute!

It's a VW T5 Transporter 2x4. When it's bad weather we cook inside on the table and open the vent.

Hey Janna :)Toilet or not totally depends on how you use the van and what kind of person you are. I haven't missed a toilet in Vanilla. I had a "Pee-cup" for cities, tho. As long as I travel and stay in nature I don't need a toilet. If you stay in cities a lot, then yes, definitely!!!

nice video you are looking beautiful as always...i have to say i am not sure i could survive 2 people in a small van permenantly surely it can cause friction between you at times and no were to let it cool down when bad weather is around...but anyway you seem happy and living the dream, so good luck and good health x

Haha, our relationship didn't survive it. It was quite funny to hear when I said "This is relationshipsaving" in this video haha. Anyway. It was not because of the van, it was because we we not made for each other. In a van you cant hide from that.
