I think it’s a great build! I appreciate people who have a budget and stick to it by finding less expensive ways of doing things. So many videos show expensive builds which is unrealistic for many of us starting out. You have a lot of great ideas on your build. The outside storage for your axe and shovel is genius! This is a great inspiration for a newbie on a budget! Safe travels!!
3 years of hard work turned out beautifully.
OK, your build inspired me with a great idea I've never seen before: The kitchen countertop IS the bed. Just have an inset (drop) sink with sprayer and cover (no spigot sticking up). You could put a mattress across the whole flat thing when night-night time. And then stack the mattress on the other bed/bench in the day time.
Thank you for showing a full view of the inside before going straight to cabinets
Now this guy did it right

I put the Axe on the outside so a crazy guy can wack me down. LOL! LOL!😁😆😂🤣🤣.

Great looking build and I like the part about not spending extra money on new stuff.
I paint my window covers with black Plastic Dip. Works perfect and has never cracked, even with folding them. Awesome build.
Wow, ilooks awesome.
Came out awesome 👏 😎👍👍👍
Great van build Andrew, I love it. A few years ago I built out a 2001 Chevy Express van... I called her Miss Stealthy, it took me about a month to build her working every day. I took her on a six month cross country trip, best time of my life. Enjoy your travels in your van you won’t regret a minute. I have always liked the van life, you meet the coolest people.

Your advice of budgeting and using fb marketplace and offer up and goodwill is some of the best I've heard people need to understand the expensive doent always mean the best or that the cheaper version may work exactly the same

I think this guy gives the best advice on vanlife. Don't buy shit first hand and blow your cash. Vanlife is supposed to be cheap! Not expensive af. I think it really clicked when I heard how he did his countertop.

Great job, I like that your honest about what works, and what doesn't that well, lots of nice ideas.... Nice rugged look ⚒
As a car guy I absolutely love the yellow. So many white vans. With the bigger tires and the black liner spray touches, it really nice. Sort of an off-road/aggressive look. Makes me happy one can have cool looking and practical too. Best of both 👏🔥🔥

You did a great job ... looks really nice.. I have a E350 and I am doing a very budget van build.. I go to Goodwill or friends give me things I just keep it until I can figure out where I can mount it in the van .. or I just might find things people have thrown away.. and just clean it or fix it up .. very minimum money spent on the interior. Thanks for your ideas and for sharing.. ✌😎👍

I love the Stealth Vans like this so much, that I think even if I was super rich and owned one of the 300 grand Motorhomes, that I'd still have a Stealth Van too.
*love the woodwork*
I love that yellow color! So lively and rich. Very cozy and well executed interior, lovely cabinets. Love the bedliner paint on bumpers. Did you paint over chrome? Could you share name of paint and what prep you did to the metal or other surfaces? I need to paint mine. Do your research on insulation. Florida is very wet, so sheep wool, mineral rock, thinsulate, are all good materials. Well insulated vans also keep cool, not just warm. Plus you will travel in this, so it should be all weather proof. Moneywise you made smart moves in getting everything second hand and having friends help with skills. That is very good. Keep your money for travel, studies, real estate. Yes, the electrical is the hardest part and the most hazardous if done incorrectly. Look up videos by Greg Virgoe, a licensed electrician in the UK. His van build is superb. He has some great vids on electrical and is an excellent teacher. Also look up Humble Road videos by George Mauro - state of the art builds for both plumbing and electrical. You learn a lot of little things about Wago connections, Uponor fittings, etc. Those Reflectix panels break down fast in sunlight. A better solution is to put up curtain tracks from IKEA, then curtains using shirring tape and large drapery pins (non pokey). Try to use ceiling mounts vs wall mounts wherever possible. Light, beautiful, curtains glide well. Fabrics from Fabric.com (see Kaffee Fassett fabrics), and Roclon Blackout rubber cloth on the sunny side to prevent curtains fading and add insulation. Looks nice, and you can insert the Reflectix if you need more insulation. If its very cold, the tracks will allow some blankets to hang from them too, which is nice.

Thanks for information! For the bed liner I used Raptor Liner, you should be able to find kits online or even at any auto store (Autozone). We bought the spray kit so you’ll need an air compressor. For prep we used sandpaper and scuffed the area we were painting then cleaned it with denatured alcohol. There was no chrome parts on my van, but I drove the van for a 6 months in Oregon and gravel did eventually chip some of the bed liner. So I would put a couple layers if I was you.

Good job man, thanks for showing it to us. Your family friend did great work on the mattress and the latches are a cool idea on the countertop so you can pull it out from the top. Thanks again for the ideas.

Great job bro. You did it about 98% the way I would have done it. I have a couple differences but they're only personal preference. Van looks great and I hope you get to enjoy your home on wheels often. Good luck to you my brother.

Nice set up. Enjoy your adventures!
Andrew, this was an incredible van build. I wish you were around when I started my van build...more like a "add-on" rather than a build. However, it works for me and after I move from the east coast to the west coast, I will re-work it. Even with the minor flaws you did a superb job. Good luck on the Mitsubishi Delica build.
Nice job. Yeah from being fromFlorida!
