No one sings with the feeling Van Morrison does. Always a treat to hear him and this video of him with the marvelous Chieftains from probably about thirty years ago was a marvelous accidental find for me. Irish Heartbeat is one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

@@tuforu4 I think you may dislike the persona (I think he can be a grumpy old fart, and has treated badly his musicians) but he is one of the best artists alive, PERIOD. But Who's better in your opinon?, Van is a great songwriter and musician himself on top of his voice. Sure some other can sing better, or play the guitar better, but I don't know many artists so complete as Van.

AGREE. beautiful vision is my favorite van album.

an amazing version of my lagan love...van threatened to overdo it at the end as he did on record, especially on she moves through the fair. but here, it all works out well....don`t why van does that breating thing at the end of irish airs....his unique voice, like an instrument, lights up my lagan love perfectly. marvellous.

Yes, it's a real smile! Seen him live a few times, but never in a good mood. On the Skiffle Sessions, he can be heard joking and laughing, albeit only at the expense of Ken Collyer!
