@@political-trueth so what are you going to say ? If you are a Turk I don’t talk to you. Because when a Turk talks they don’t accept the reality. Of course. There are nice Turkish people. There are always nice and good and safe people in any place in the whole world. But it’s clear that they’re mostly racist Like how uk has lots of racist but there are nice British people. Actually I’m Kurdish and I don’t trust any Trk when I go out. They might cheat on me or lie about me. If I say bijî Kurdistan they will look at me as a killer and if I have my Kurdistan flag they will call police and trkish police will act with me as a terrorist While it’s my right to have my flag and say my Kurdish sayings about my lovely country.

I visited Trabzon in the first half of March this year, just in time before the pandemic hit. Sumela monastery was just at the beginning of its renovating so we couldn't enter at all, but it was still fun and refreshing to walk all the way up there! Most of my time I spent at Tea House playing Tavla :D And just when I was starting to be good at it my vacation in Trabzon ended :D But all in all, Turkey is really great, the food is great and healthy, and lots of intersting places to visit! No purpoise in the black sea or aegean. They are true dolphins. They are smaller in size because of the lack of fish in the region. And unfortunately they are hunted by anchovy fishermen. Because they think they eat the anchovy. Dolphins and purpoises look very different and in Turkish one is called "yunus" and the other "domuz balıgi."

I visited this place one month ago and unfortunately some vandals wrote their names on the frescoes and ripped the faces off. I was disappointed by the destruction. Nevertheless, I recommend everyone to go there to witness the beauty of nature and its combination with the fabulous monastry.

There are several stratum of frescoes, you can notice if you look carefully. Christians periodically repainted over old frescoes, hence the faces were etched by them. But those names were written by real vandals.

Unfortunately the British media is too slow and selective about Turkey....it's a shame that you did not explore the main city of my place of birth Trabzon and drive through the great mountain range of Gümüshane, the locals there are one in million when it comes to Turkish hospitality and engagement. Please revisit these area's! But most all, thank you for your great video's and impartial information

The video was amazing. I really enjoyed watching the renovations in the sumela monastery. Do you know that the monastery was founded by the Greeks /byzantines and it was populated by Greeks until the 1920s. I think that you have to highlight the Greek byzantine and pontic influence in the region of the black sea because the 2 populations, the Greeks and the turks, lived there together for centuries. Even the music and the dances, like horoun, are the same or look alike in both Turkish and pontic Greek tradition. The only thing that separated the people was the religion Christianity and Islam.
