WOW! Great video Dan!
I'm thankful that my life is a little boring right now. That means I have energy to help my family and friends who need it.

I'm thankful for a peaceful life. Happy holidays to you and Cassie.
I think this is my favorite episode yet. (Your misfortune becomes our entertainment) I had a similar adventure when I volunteered to make a turkey for a party. (My first time cooking the bird) Wasn’t near done when the guests arrived! I am thankful for your channel!

Dang thank you Joe! Hahaha I figured only a full turkey took for ever, the breast apparently takes a while too😂😂. Cooking isn’t always easy hahah

@@DanVanLife The breast of the turkey is the part that takes all the time!! Adding stuffing to it also slowed the heating process.
Glad to see you and sweet Cassie again Not strange but Im thankful for my life and my family. Had a heart attack in June and could have been a goner.❤️
I’m thankful for my retirement after my enjoyable career as a emergency room nurse . I was grateful to see you and Cassie figuring it out and cooking a Thanksgiving dinner in the van😊
I missed the live thanks for replay. Hey to Cassie and to you Dan.
I am desperately thankful for not having to cook a raw turkey this year....I reheated smoked turkey legs, and they were WONDERFUL!! They only took a couple of hours in the oven! I am very thankful for my special side-kick, Roxy, my toy poodle! She turns 9 on 12/15/23! I can't believe it's been 9 years already! She is very healthy, so I hope for many more healthy years ahead!
As a singleton, I always buy a turkey breast, it cooks much quicker and still leaves leftovers.
I've gone through this hassle during some Thanksgivings. This year went without a problem. It's not hard to forget something. Just a note for those who don't want to go through this, many churches have Thanksgiving suppers. Pay a small donation and you're in. Sometimes they'll let the less fortunate in anyway. Peace.
Thankful for so much. Glad you posted this video.

Don't feel bad about your Thanksgiving meal ....My friend and I tried our first Thanksgiving meal together. We were like 17 and 20 years old. And I think it took us 14 hours. We started about 3 AM one morning.

Hi Dan even though your turkey dinner took forever to cook it looked delicious . Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.
strange thing Im thankful for this year . . . having wild donkeys eating my bushes in my front yard! Welcome back, seems like its been forever since your last vid! YOur better then I am, I would have given up on that dinner and went without!
first video ive caught of your channel and excited to start my binge-watch!
My dude, people wake up at 6am or earlier, to prepare Tgiving dinner. I can’t imagine starting at sunset. 🤦🏻♀️😂 I know you’re a good cook. Next year, I’m willing to bet it will go better. Thanks for sharing. Hope you can get more content out, it’s always enjoyable. Safe travels.✌🏻💕🙏🏻
Glad yo see you both. Miss hearing how you are doing.
1:33 🤣 loved that close up zoom! I LOVE snow. I live in Raleigh, NC and we don't get snow. Flurries or sleet, on the rare occasion, but not snow. Not in a very long time. You're so lucky to be where it snows! Thumbs up!
I grew up in Cheyenne and recently moved away, it was a surprising blessing to see the town again for a minute 🥹
I glad you are doing good. I was worried about you. Dinner looks good. Happy thanksgiving and stay safe.
Happy Holidays. I am thankful for the ability to crotchet blankets for family and friends! 😂

Happy your doing well for me I have not seen a notification new vid in awhile. I do not cook expected the turkey yo take awhile. Your meal looked YUM. Be 🍀SAFE🍀 💕🐶💪😎💪👍👍⬆️til next time
I grew up in Cheyenne. It’s always windy.
Hopefully it goes better for your Christmas dinner.

Some valuable lessons learned, start the turkey before noon 😂
Put the OVEN in the Turkey, you did ? . . . what an adventurous Thanksgiving . . . and by the way, I've lived in my house in Alabama for EIGHT years and NEVER turned on my oven !!! I have missed seeing your weekly videos, but I also know how hard it was to get one out every week.
I'm thankful Iive in Texas. Everything you cooked looked like it would have been good even if you didn't get to eat until 3:00 a.m.
For reals that was pretty optimistic of an oven event, esp for a van oven. Even our home oven would require multiple hours of cooking and I can only imagine all the xxx factors of a van oven given $$, age, wisdom, power source ect.. Fun video though. Would be rather frustrating as the hunger starts to build and you can "smell it" but not have it after probably what? 9pm....hahaha
It's been awhile, yay it's good to see you an cassie again, hope your both well
Cheyenne and Laramie are some bad areas to stop at. Now if you like to get snowed in and very very bad roads to drive on ice can be 6-8 inches stay in that area when a blizzard comes at -25°F 85+mph winds yeah driving a semi in 12 hours was up passed the door of the truck. I really wouldn't recommend the winter up there in Van Life taking the chance of using all resources you got and run out of food, water, propane. Can't have enough propane to last. It gets so cold you gotta use everything you got to cover up with too stay warm and find cardboard to cover the grill so your motor can run with it freezing up. I'll never go up there in the winter again, getting to the truck stop wind blew me sideways across the interstate 5 times with truck and trailer till this day how I got it straightened out I can't tell ya. But good to see ya again.

We surely aren’t done!! Just not rushing out crappy videos anymore, taking time and making them better!! Happy new year Annette thank you for the support!!!
Took forever, but it looked good. Next time, rinse your turkey before cooking and start it several hours before preparing the side dishes. Finally, you never said: what happened with the police officer who came knocking at your door during your last video? Merry Christmas!!
Thank you Dan, I enjoy your video. 😍
I think everyone who has cooled a turkey for the first time, badly underestimates the cooking time. I know that I sure did!
My strange thing to be thankful is that there were restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day serving Thanksgiving food. Oh the lonely life!! ❤ oh! Btw what happened with overnight parking when the police got there???

Ahahaha most definitely, I assumed a turkey breast was would cook much faster than a whole turkey, turns out not much faster 🤣
Although it may have been a disaster to you, thanks for sharing. That's a turkey normally takes about three and a half hours it should have told you on the back and the bag how many minutes per pound. Don't give up though. You should try to do another one sometime when you're on a chill day when you have nothing to do and started around 1:00 p.m. or even a little earlier. The more you cook with them the better you get 🤗
❤
Microwave turkey dinner maybe better for your cooking situation. Hope your puppy dog has been eating lots as well.
Id cook the turkey diner the day before. Stick it in your fridge.
Just need a Turkey breast or a whole chicken!! Damn Dan!! Your dinner was making me hungry!!😊. Sweet girl Cassie❤
