Hey guys remember on your automobile policies. Liability follows the driver, physical damage follows the vehicle listed on your policy. Always take physical damage out on rentals and the CDW. Remember Insurance is for a catastrophe. U never know when something will happen.

I was just thinking about that same thing. Our credit cards offer us additional coverage if we get into an accident.

So sorry this happened to you...rule of thumb is always to purchase the extra insurance on a rental and always purchase travel insurance...better to be safe than sorry and out of pocket...stay safe...and keep that optimistic, upbeat spirit...❤🙏🏽

No, the rule of thumb is to make sure you understand what your insurance covers. In most cases, the rental company’s insurance is not necessary.

I will pay more to use their insurance, just in case. I'm so sorry that happened to you, but I'm happy you were able to get it taken care of. Lessons learned without being harmed, are worth it. ❤

This is why I love your channel Nomi. You didn't have to share that information and you did it for the good of your viewers. That's commendable. You did the right thing. You have saved viewers tons of money preventing them from making the same mistake. Thank you.

Great video about ensuring you understand the terms and conditions of your auto/rv insurance. Always call your auto insurance company prior to renting a vehicle and understand any deductibles, etc. I think lots of people will find this incredibly helpful and, perhaps, will help someone.

Always get the extra insurance going forward from someone who backed a rental van into a pole. Accidents happen. I love your integrity. Have a safe trip!

I’m so sorry this happened. I haven’t rented in years but when I did, I always got what they call ”walk away“ insurance. Doesn’t matter who is at fault, I walked away with no issue. Fortunately, I never had an accident.

Nomi, who says you have to fold laundry????? I stopped folding my toddler's clothes. I just dump it in her drawer and honestly, it isn't wrinkled! It has saved me time and mental energy! I'm way less likely to get overwhelmed just by the thought of folding it! I'm trying to set up my closet to do the same with my clothes!

Nomi, you had the financial resources to get the repairs done on the vehicle that was damaged. Please make sure if you rent a vehicle outside the US that you always pay for their insurance. I’m sorry you had such a costly issue. Most people couldn’t afford to pay that. God speed on your trip!

It’s a wonderful thing when you have any kind of insurance and when you don’t have it set up correctly … lesson learned. I hate to dry beg so I am rushing to check my own insurance because it’s my responsibility after all I would be the one driving and have to independently pay for my mistake.

Put one of those trackers in your bag you need to check on airplane. That way you can see where it is on you phone just in case it gets lost.

Just an fyi- even if you own a vehicle, not every policy (depends on what state your policy is in) covers a rental. Some require your vehicle to be inoperable to provide coverage.

OMG, Nomi! So very sorry that happened, but glad it's past and you have a positive growth attitude toward it. Something very similar happened to me when I was getting divorced and had just finished two weeks of overtime typing on the biggest sales package of my then-employer's history. The repair bill came to the exact amount of the overtime check. Lesson learned. ^5 Still can't read the brand on your new pack. Could you put it in the description, please? Insurance coverage is a slippery slope between affordability and coverage. I was in a tornado in 2011. Luckily I had great coverage. Took me 11 months fighting with them to get to use my great coverage, but in the end I did have the coverage I needed. Many people in my town did not and were taken by surprise. Sorry you had to go thru that.

I think the lady you talked to is wrong. It's the other way around. I just read on line at Forbes, that it is when you are on a leisure trip you are covered, but you would not be covered if you are using this for business , to meet a business client. Your insurance company is ripping you off. Do you see? That's a lot of money. You can't let them do this to you.

Something I learned…..I pack the days garments in a roll. That way, I pull out one roll, and no rummaging thru the whole bag for the things packed on the bottom.
