I'm really sad you have had bad experiences in Concepcion. I hope those bad moments don't destroy the past experiences in southern Chile. I wish you the best for what is coming.

Hi again Snow & Kurt. I am making my way through all your videos, but kinda out of sequence (haven't watched this one yet). I have watched you going through your knee surgery & heart attack & I have been mixing in older & newer videos trying to catch up. I have laughed & bawled like a baby with you guys. My mother always told me "Everything happens for a reason". Your trials have also created tribulations, I think. Your HA made you rethink your health choices. Snow, you look wonderful & healthy (& Kurt too, of course...lol). You have lost weight & you glow. Snow, I tore up my knee about 4 years ago & they wanted me to have surgery but I did not want to since a back surgery & just couldn't do surgery again. I went through all the other options instead i.e. physical therapy etc. I am mentioning this because I now do a vibration plate exerciser which has helped me immensely with my back & knee issues (& strangely a side effect is I have also lost weight). Sometimes when I am really tired, I just sit in a chair & use it. I am sorry this is so long, but I feel like you guys are friends now! BTW, I also absolutely love the music in your videos. Do you have a play list somewhere?

Hey, Snow, one problem with van life is travel all day long, therefore sit most of the time either driving or navigating. When sitting for too long a day, you bound to lack of exercise, that explains your heart condition goes down bit by bit. If you agree that is the case, my advise is do daily weight lifting exercise, daily!!! Not necessary be to heavy, too tough, but try your hardest effort for few times, to few tens, so as to give your heart chance to excite and work harder each day, when you wake up and before you showering, going to bed. I seen people improve their health quite a bit this way. Remember, the more you sit, the more your heart beats slower, and beat with smaller amplitude. So, try your hardest 2 times each day, that would give you better sleep as well. Hope that can help. Remember also, without you Curt probably can't go any further! Best wishes!

Traveling out of season is always rough. It’s winter which sucks anywhere outside the tropics. I have confidence you two will make it work.

Comments assessing Chile as a country, based on two nights in Concepcion (a fairly large city), are useless. Ignore them. Armchair travelers, with no first hand experience, LOVE to tell you you’re doing it wrong. I know this well from traveling 9200 miles on a bicycle, solo, throughout the US, with little trouble from any human beings. Didn’t stop people from telling me my awesome, delightful bicycle tour was ill-advised and dangerous. Just pity them, ignore their anxieties, and look forward to the next lovely part of your adventure. Hugs!

You guys overcame a lot on Chile. I am sorry Chile could not have been better. You two are always determined and focused. You stay optimistic despite thje obstacles. FYI. Those ropes on the trampoline we’re not safety ropes, they were bungee cord and when you jump on the trampoline, it pulls you really high up in the air. I was on one of those rides before and they were a blast. I just found your guys channel and I’ve been binge watching the videos. I am enjoying your experience was very much. I hope to be a regular

This was a good video. It showed the harder part of being on the road and van life when things are not picture perfect. The dogs chasing the sea lions off the dock was a perfect start. Loved the BIG yawn on the sea lion that was a great shot. At least you got the kitty papers looking forward to you crossing the boarder and back to Argentina. See ya Saturday

You two sound exhausted...but I know how days of rain take it out of you. For the most part, Chile has been beautiful. Sounds like Concepcion has been a bit tougher than most places you've been...but the sun is coming out. You'll see!

Your remark that van life isn’t always easy is something other people who are just starting out don’t realize. Been on the road 4 years now and can so relate. Would I change it? OMG!!! The second I saw the base entrance, I knew where you were!! This was the very first place I lived when I was there!! It hasn't changed all that much, and that was 32 years ago. It's also where I experienced my first typhoon/storm. It gets crazy there. LOL Thanks for sharing....it brings back some fond memories

Some time ago there was a situation where a bunch of seals invaded the docks in San Francisco. This was before digital sampling, but the production crew managed to edit the sounds of the seals into a refrain of"I Left My heart in San Francisco."

Every single day can't be rainbows and unicorn facts. Thanks for sharing the warts and I hope things improve soon.

So, it’s winter time in South America, and after 7 years “El Niño” is back, which means for some places down in south more rain :( It’s just what it is. If you’re coming to south of Brazil, it has been raining a lot as well, but we do have some days of blue sky in between.

One thing I really appreciate about your channel and is helpful to people like me considering doing this at some point is you keep it real. I am so glad you have each other on this journey to rely upon. I am finding it hard to imagine going solo on a trip like this! As an additional security measure, have you ever considered getting a recording of a large barking dog you could play if God forbid someone tried to gain entry again? That might help to deter someone!

The rain in this time of the year in Chile, especially in the south is normal, the winters are very humid

the big block hanging from the boom and the way the net is stacked is what denotes this type of fishing, also the large skiff being towed is what controls the skiff end of the net.

You visited my city my advice be careful where you park in Chile my thieves around get better advice and be careful with the weather it has been very bad and look out where you want to cross the Andes I see it is very difficult in some places good luck on your journey

What an adventure you're having. I can see that all the rain put quite a damper on things for you. Surely, van life isn't always glamorous, but there's something in me which tells me I ought to do it. I'm a single woman and I'd be alone, so I'm rolling it around, especially after the incident you experienced in your last video. But still, all the positive experiences are likely worth the troubles. Stay safe! I'm glad I found your channel the other day!

Be of good courage and I believe you will truly get past all of the hurdles that have beset you both in recent days. Thank you both for bringing all of us along.

I think I remember reading you plan to come to Australia. Please read up on legalities for your fur babies. Australia is incredibly strict and redtape cumbersome, lengthy custom stays. As I'm an Australian I've never had to read up myself on the details, just a friendly warning so you don't get any rude surprises. Love ❤️ your down to earth vids.

Question: How often are you using your in-Van shower system? Any issues that make it less useful than you thought when you put it in? Very curious as I'm trying to figure out my own shower solution.

We LOVE our van shower and use it several times a week. Unfortunately, right now the hot water heater is broken and the water down here is COLD! We are struggling to get the parts shipped in 😔

The stupid kid harassing the seals annoyed me. But a while back when you first crossed over into Chile, I sensed a darker vibe there. The Parks and tourist areas in the southern part were lovely, but beyond that, the light continued to dim. Argentina was much brighter, a spiritual thing. Now from here, things could get very dangerous, life threatening, you have to be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS AND WISE, as even truck stops in Mexico could be deadly, full of armed criminals. Please, I love you..., the most dangerous stretch lies ahead. TAKE NO CHANCES, limit your exploring. Take all the safest routes at the safest times, and sleep near police, guards, and the most secure spots. Then don’t forget to pray.

Don't be dramatic.. i live in the US and on average it feels way more dangerous here than it did back in Chile. This stuff is random and can happen even in safe countries...
