yes shade, reflection insulation and dc fans with the correct fabrics is key. with curtains close can come off if its to bad and a plant based diet with minimal grease and fried food we sweat less. At least 50% less. I live it💥🗽

I agree about the whole food plant based diet, not only sweat less, but sweat,(and poo) stinks less. Parking near water also provides more cooling breezes.

Now that's a funny toy! 🤣 Some of the old Land Rovers that I've owned (and one I still own) had a pretty neat option, a "Tropical top". This is basically a heat shield that's mounted across the entire roof of the truck, and it's spaced about an inch above the actual roof. There's 4 air vents underneath it that you can open, to send cool air into the cabin, and the air that flows underneath the tropical top tends to be 10-15 degrees cooler. Of course, it's much more effective when the vehicle is moving...

I love that thing! That thing is hilarious! Are you going to give it a name? Whoever gave you that thing really knows and loves you and understands about your bunny hat. I would like to add that having a sponge bath or a swim brings your body temperature down immensely. It’s the same principal as wetting your sarong. Also wetting your head before bed, and putting up hair really helps. Love you, Bev. Thank you for the video.

20k subs...Woo-Hoo! Congratulations, well deserved and I'm sure that number is climbing as I type. As silly as it sounds, I got one of those little Artic-air cube fans. Basically a swamp cooler, know... don't laugh but, it actually works really well as long as there's not much humidity. The little filter is freezable and makes cold air! Low battery use thru the USB connection too. You can always run it without water too if you need just to move air. Sorry for taking too much space to explain but hope it helps. Can't wait to see what's next.

Good ideas just be careful if you get to Hot 🔥🥵🥵 and then put something really Cold 🥶 on your body may not react very well. Gradually Apply if you have been hiking or something and been exposed to long. Take care Bev and be careful out there 😊

Hi Bev...another way to cool is ice packs...as many as you can afford. Need a freezer or cold frig. Also put ice in a plastic bag and cover with thin cloth. The wet surong ive been doing for years..especially living in arizona🥵 i have got ac but when it reaches 95 degrees or above it doesnt cool!

Hey Bev, name the cactus "Prickley", seems obvious to me. We added a 12000 btu mini-spit to our shuttle bus. Amazed at how quiet it is. Can run it on the inverter and batteries, don't know how long yet, trip to JAX FL next month will be the acid test! (Can heat with it too!)

Hey Bev, I like the cactus, it has your laugh and it laughs as much as you do. Try having the cactus on while you are using GPS. I just went on holiday to London and Paris. I went to London to see if I would like to retire there and I would. On the drive home from London, the Ontario Provincial Police had the 401 highway closed so I had to detour through Paris. Paris is a nice little town well off the beaten path. Ontario seems to have a tradition of naming towns after other towns in the world to confuse people. I now see why people rave about London and Paris. Steve

I'm still gravitating toward the use of a hammock in the van as it provides air to encircle you and keep you cool. Of course, in your van the bed is built in and you wouldn't be able to safely get a hammock to work for you. I especially liked the idea you had in 5:34, but not everyone could do that either.

Crazy Comedic Cacti. Have you tried getting the two front door windows and windshield tinted with a clear ceramic window tints. It'll stop 50% of the solar hear and won't affect cell reception like metalized clear tints. Great video and love the laughing. Take and be safe.

@@BecomingBev I'm surprised you were able to read my msg....soooooo many typos. Sorry about that. Signed...a LONG TIME AGO ENGLISH MAJOR😮. It's probably a little pricier than other tinting/clear tinting, but it'll help reduce the heat when you open the front curtain.

Hey Bev.. love your new toy 😂 I have tried the wet scarf but find that it dries out too quick. You can use a spray bottle of water to spritz it and get it wet again and for face but I found a damp beach towel works best as it stays wet longer. I cover myself with it as it cools your entire body down plus keeps mosquitos from attacking you. Take care of you and keep living life to the fullest ♥️♥️♥️🙏

You should also use ceramic window tint keeps rays off inside . Another trick is wind shield reflective screen that goes over outside of windscreen and locks under doors .
