That's the cleanest neglected van I have ever seen.

Paint mirrors and spoiler black , debadge lettering and black out badges, and 4d or 3d plates. Maybe some roof bars would also look good.

3:57 shows perfectly why you should always use axle stands and not only rely on the jack itself. You can see that the jack is slowly going down.

Yeah I love the black letters idea as well and the general consensus is for black spoiler and mirrors so will be going for that 👍🏻, it’s the easiest to do as well which is always good lol

Looks like new van, black carbon fibre, matt black look good on it look good with trim wrap in matt carbon fibre also. Wicked

I vote to paint the spoiler white, Would fit in with the rest of the upper of the van then :),Looks much better with those alloys!

Yeah I agree as well that the spoiler and mirrors would look better in white. Haven’t got around to painting them yet so might go get a white made👍🏻

I would go white on bumpers, mirrors and spoiler. I know it’s a lot of sanding, time and expense but you can’t put a price on looking cool 😎 😎

Thanks, I agree, looks way better 👍🏻. I’m going to see how dark the plastics go after some carpro ceramic before I paint them, but I think the general consensus was to go black/trim colour over the white 👍🏻👍🏻

Might be a bit late but I think if you painted the spoiler to match the black trim/ bumpers, you'd easily mistake it for standard, wheels look great and the mirror covers remind me of Volvo's R-design

I would love to, but I sold the van to fund the VW transporter build. Hopefully getting the VW back this week and it will be getting fixed and then modified like this van did (but a fair bit more lol)

I'd colour code the bumpers,side mouldings,spoiler, trims around the rear lights and door handles silver

Black for the spoiler I would say. It’ll match nicely with the other black trims. But sure get someone to photoshop it white and see how it looks.

I colour matched my mirrors and spoiler to the van (white) looked really good!

Black for sure ! And new discs at the back and paint the calipers mate ! Nothing worse than new wheels with rusty discs and calipers behind them

I've got the same X82 Vivaro myself, really like those rims and the slight lowering, subtly done, excellent choice. I'd probably go white for the spoiler, it's not something I've considered. I need to tidy up the bodywork before doing too much else, it's a 2015 van that worked in South London for Integral so you can probably guess it's battle- scarred.

@@paultaylor9652 plan to leave the bumpers black not going to colour code them, I like how it breaks up the white. I was meaning white spoiler and white mirror covers, the rest of the mirrors will stay black 👍🏻, but a lot of people have said black so will do that first and c how it looks😃

Personally I'd paint the bumpers and trim/spoiler white. my mate has an older one of these that's camper converted, all colour coded and it looks pretty good.

Paint the mirrors and ALL black plastic in black chrome to match the wheels.

Amazing what a set of nice wheels can do for a vehicles appearance. They are Calibre Tourers. Did you lose any oil out of the gearbox when you removed the nearside strut?. The driveshaft is only held in place at the gearbox by spring tension from the the hub. Rear spoiler in the same shade as the plastics I reckon. Great vid. (oh, and don't forget to put 5 of your original wheel bolts somewhere in the van just in case you need to put the spare on).

Thanks dude, yeah they do make a huge difference to the appearance! Got 5 bolts in the cab just in case 😉, and thankfully I watched a “how to change springs on a vivaro” vid before I did it so knew the driveshaft might decide to do its own thing if I didn’t secure it 😂

You should get some locking wheel nuts on those wheels,,, or they will go !!

Mate you should 100 percent keep it as black the spoiler

would definiteley colour match those bumpers (not sure about the sides). that's the way it should be, vauxhall will have left them unpainted to save money. all budget cars have black bumpers.

Never put any type of anti seize on lug bolts. It will not all the lug bolts to be torque to spec and can let the back out.

Yeah I think white would look better having had a few weeks to think about it. Haven’t actually painted or fitted it yet as the weather has been so bad lol, more of a warm weather (possibly spring) type job 😃👍🏻

I have, really tempted to say van convert it, but it’s just so handy as a van at the moment as I can easily put the super bike in it if I want to go a bike run further afield 👍🏻

@@DaveRebuilds put a high bed in accessible from the back and make it a wee garage for the bike. That way you can have a bit at the side door as s day van kit out and a garage at the back.

Shouldn't really have Copper Slipped the bolts either, a definite No No on certain makes of cars (Mercedes Benz especially!!) when with the bolts Copper Slipped up they sometimes undo.

Good to know. I usually do it on the wheel nuts first time using them just to make sure they don’t seize. But useful to know for future 👍🏻
