This isn't the type of song you just throw on for the hell of it, but when the right moment comes up to play this song it really hits you. "Right Now," makes you feel something both lyrically and musically. Such a phenomenal song.

I don't know... Seems like EVH really progressed MELODICALLY when Sammy joined the band and that idiot left

1993. I was 13 and this was the most amazing thing I heard! IT WAS EVERYWHERE!!! Sports, Radio, Pepsi ads. I love it. Even still. Crazy thing this was on MTV alongside Nirvana, and Pearl Jam. Diamond Dave had the kicks and the bite. Hagar had the pipes!

Sammy is definitely the greatest American born singer ever, based on pure talent. Probably top 5, hell top 3 all time worldwide. Freddie was good too.

This was their best line up. I miss how much Sammy brought to the band, and Anthony's bass. Shame, the best Rock band America ever produced in my humble opinion.

Ian James While some (not me) may not say they are the best American rock band, it would be hard to argue that they are not at least in the top five. They’ve got the greatest guitar player of all time and a ton of songs that are classics. Michael Anthony was always their secret weapon. His harmonies were pitch perfect. I get Eddie wanting his kid in the band, but Anthony brought something to the band that Wolfgang cannot do.

Unreal this was 30 years ago, seems like it should be just last week. A timeless piece of music indeed. RIP to the Great EVH!!

RIP EDDIE, though I didn't grow up in the 80's like my Dad, I'm glad I got to see you play Live twice with my dad. Twice I learned why you're one of the most Badass guitarists ever!

It hasn't aged a bit... I can listen to it everyday!

Had to revisit this one after seeing the tribute version Sammy, Mike, Jason Bonham and JOE freakin' SATRIANI did on Howard Stern. That was awesome, but this is still the high water mark. Whew!

I'm a bigger Roth era fan than Sammy but this is one of Ed's best pieces of work. All of Van Halen's music brings back so many good memories. RIP King, you brought me so much joy in life. Rock forever babe.

Van Halen with Dave was a mid 70's alt Rock breakout Phenomenon, then Sammy turned them into a positivity Rock Juggernaut. I hope the Van Halens will someday before it's too late, get over everything, for the FANS, and realize there is no "Van Halen" without BOTH these guys, AND Michael Anthony, a vital ingredient to their sound as a preeminent Rock Musician. Sammy is 69, Alex is 63 and there is no way he can keep up his demanding drumming style forever, we just lost Neil Peart 64 to retirement, and Glen Frey 67 to the reaper. Jesus they're all old, how can MORE $$$ not be enough for everybody. Tour with everybody, Wolfgang, Michael, give Dave a Xanax, and let everybody come out, rock the house and tear it up. Life is too short to hold grudges guys.

Van Halen, at least the Van Halen that really mattered, ended when Roth, *who helped propel the band to international superstardom,* departed in '85. The Hagar era, and the post-Hagar era with that other guy from that other band, were an almost constant nightmare of lite-metal bushwa. I say "almost" because, even in their worst synthesizer-driven power ballads, even in their most tragic ersatz-U2 "saying something really important" mode, you knew a guitar solo was eventually coming. And to be perfectly honest, I have rarely come across an EVH guitar solo that wasn't one of the coolest things i've ever heard.

Colin Betts I've read that there was a lot of studio overdubs on this album, but I still agree it sounds great.

Alex is a underrated drummer. He’s amazing as is of course Eddie no question

Imagine such a beautiful heaven-made concert: jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury, Prince, David Bowie, Jon Lord...and Eddie Van Halen.

This song is very complicated for a pop song and the mark of true genuis is making something complicated seem simple. These guys did it with this tune. So great.

1000 years from now when historians teach students the answer to the question: "what is rock and roll?" This is should be the answer. Van Halen defined rock in the 20th century.

This was my first VH album... I was 15, will never ever forget those hot summer nights in Santiago de Chile listening to this song and walking the streets. Sweet memories!❤

The loss of Eddie Van Halen is crushing in this horrible year pretty much filled with terrible things. His talent, his exuberance, his sheer joy in the music he made-what an awful loss. He will be missed forever.
