Van Fit Out
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Fitting out the van once and for all!
My main goal was to get every tool underneath the platform, so I can have the platform free for sheets of plywood and doors etc.
I did enjoy doing this and learned a lot as I went, hopefully you can take something from this video. In case you are wondering, it is a 2006 Toyota HIACE
fun fact:This system could also work as a camper, the platform at the top is the PERFECT place for a mattress.

Easy to tell you take pride in your work. And so do I. Started when I was 13, 52 now almost 40 years in construction. It's always nice to see that some people still care about doing quality work
That is a sweet setup. I love to see every space serving a purpose, while keeping everything neat.
I’m fitting out my van and using yours as inspiration it’s that good. Love the fact everything is hidden away
Awesome build!!! Love the way you built around what you already have to fit your needs. I'm looking to do something similar to my truck. Cheers!
Great videos. Your style is very easy on the eye. Clever van fit out. You have a way of making these tasks look extremely easy.
Your videos are very fun to watch, not just for the things you do, but also for the humour, the fun mood created by the light-hearted music, and the little gags you sprinkle in.
so many ideas for my builders trailer fitout! cheers from across the ditch
I used to have a van setup similar to this. I've found that having a setup this exact makes it hard when you accumulate more tools over the years - as its hard to find a free spot to store them.
Nicely done! Taking it to the next level separates you from the others to your customers!
I love your style Scott, nice job and nice tool choice!
Bro that's awesome. I didn't go to that full extent with my van fit out but now I wish I did. On ya bro!!
Good job carpenter there’s nothing better then keeping your tools organized for the jobs
You have just inspired me to fit out my van properly!
Great job! Thanks for sharing 👍
First video I've seen of yours, great build, editing, and song choices my dude. Keep it up! Subbed
Always love watching someone that loves their trade, regardless of what it is.
Your choice of music ( underground hip hop style ) was what made me subscribe... you are definitely motivating for me to get a work van now
Quality video, very underrated with regards to the amount of time filming/ editing this! Keen to get my own van from work and fit it out similar to this!
Excellent choice of music at the end. Double thumbs up.
thanks for the vid mate - helps me out quit a bit on my minivan fit out - props to you in your design, yes it takes far too long. Side note my son went sky diving in New Zealand last new years day - beautiful island you have
That's a great way of making of the most of the space for sure
I absolutely love your videos, my kids do too! You're beyond talented! You've inspired me to buy more tools, halfway leave me job and want to move to New Zealand, LOL. I hope I can learn to do a quarter of the things you can do. Keep up the amazing videos!
Pure satisfaction to watch a skilled tradie doin his job. Drawers are a really good investment. Nothing more annoying than throwing all In the Ute and don’t find it anymore later. It’s just a huge time optimization if everything has its own space. I didn’t build a setup like this but store my stuff in boxes, it’s the non-carpenter-solution for now haha. Good job mate

Dude that's the best van fit out I've ever seen!
Great fit out Scott .
That is dope. I'm an apprentice carpenter and getting myself a HiAce shortly to cut out just like this.
Perfect friend.It's very clever
Great edit!.
It looks so perfect.
loving the videos Scott. I looked up building tips and all I saw were fortnite videos, but then came across your channel. the how-to's are gold. (door hanging, frame straightening etc). It can be hard as an apprentice to learn everything we would like to as quick as we need to as it seems some employers are more concerned about making coin (which is understandable) than properly training their employees properly. I like that I can see how some things are done from your channel, I like how you emphasized the wooden handle hammers helping with elbow pain, as that was an issue for me nailing on weatherboards all the time, almost to the point where I had to stop because of injury. (I am now looking to invest in one). I like your tool comparisons (nailers) and other options (Rz masks, Japanese saws, dust extractors etc). I didn't know that dust extractors were compulsory (good piece of legal info). I think maybe for newbies, it may be worth mentioning how to use certain tools like a router? I have never used one but I am interested. I realize there may be other sources to find those videos but it may be beneficial to your channel and help to gain a wider audience? (just a thought). anyway I loved the van fitout video, I just wish you broke it down a tad more. (a comprehensive list of materials in the video description maybe? steps of build in more detail) though i understand that it can be quite difficult taking the extra time to do that while running a business. Thanks for the quality, clean content. I hope your channel does well.
Mate your incredible! I don’t even have a van but was thinking of getting one and imagining how I’d create my shelf’s ect but this is just brilliant
Lovely Job friend!! Looks great!

Nice job Scott. I'm looking to build a similar setup to your van. I use the DeWalt Tstak system so will be able to do a similar job.
“It took far too long I’m not doing this again.” Fine work as always !

Wtf? How great are these videos. I just can’t stop watching this! Man, you’re the Casey Neistat of the jobsite/ carpentery/ tools videos. I’d love to have these type of cars, an pasionable craftsmans in my country, where just few years ago craftsman was appreciated equally as salesmans or warehousemans. Just because the people like you, I’ve chosen to be the craftsman.. Big thanks to the time, you have to spend with your videos.
Just WOW well done good editing and good personality 🤗
Good one!
Thanks, man. Will copy your design to my van. Solute from a 3rd year tradie + draftsman in Auckland.
Great set up !
That’s really nice bro. Inspiring. Learned a lot just watching how you did this. Thank you 🎉
Awesome job man. I'm Gunna give it ago
Wow incredible!!
Genius.

Awesome work dude
Wonderful thanks for sharing
what a nice setup
Nice Job Scott.
Great filming mate, and a great fit out, though now you've created all that extra space you'll have to buy some more tools!!
bro your the man!!!!
Nice job. I've got the same van ,and have just finished re-fitting it out , as i wasn't happy with my first attempt either. It took about 50 hours . Probably 30 hrs actual construction time , and 20 hrs just staring at it , wondering what to do !

Great work and like the different style of storage draws with space on top. Mine is more like Cameron's style but about to do refit again for same reason as yours. Little bit more detail would be great if you do any more like this bro so we can all have some 💡moments
Fantastic 🤙🏽
Vans just make more sense than a ute. Utes are super cool but vans are just more practical and secure.
Clever setup! Might have to copy that with some modifications according to my tools of course. What are the speccs for the rails, do you know?
Me encanta muy buen trabajo
Awesome
Wow so much great content! I see great future for your channel man! easy sub!
Great job her practical....I'm dying to find the time to do something similar
U know what i like? Parking on hills :3
Thas friggin awesome

Vert good job dude. A lot of store space. Greeting from belgium. You Just won à New membre for your channel. Keep going.
Just about to take on something very similar for my van . Hope it ends up this good
Thanks Scott, its similar to my van setup but a lot better. Just started watching your videos, Im based in Dunedin. I'm taking notes mate. Cheers.
I love it.
This is amazing mate!!!! Good stuff!!!
Smart!
That's exactly what I had in mind for my car reality was I spent about an hour on a Saturday and made a real budget job out of old fencing palings lol lol . Sort of as long as it works attitude lol . Awesome job mate . And a bit of inspiration for me to make my one properly lol

I have those Skull Candy headphones 😎👍
The best setup I have ever seen was a guy who bought a mini bus, he decked it out with shelving down both sides for all his tools. Being a mini bus he can stand comfortably in the back. He can also fit 6.0m lengths of timber inside the mini bus and close the rear door.

vzgsxr I have a crafter Luton that’s 5.5m in the back and 2.5m high and I’ve kitted it out and I wouldn’t work out of any other van , the roof let’s light in so it’s nice and bright inside and with the tail lift I use that as a work bench ! Also when it’s closed up and locked it just looks like a removal van it’s doesn’t look like it might have kit inside

Awesome mate 👍 didn't think there were any good kiwi chippys haha maybe you just send all the bad ones to Australia

Bro - awesome videos & craftmanship! Marvellous! P.S - can you build my dream home?

you know what would look cool in this van fit out.... Kaizen foam for all your tools so you can find everything really easy, and you wouldnt need all the bulky tool cases anymore :)
Hey Scott, I am a flooring installer and a great thing for cleaning up that contact adhesive is fuelite we use it all the time.
you make good content
Impressive
Thats a pretty sick van Scott the vans are the best for carpenty in my mind. All tools inside and dry. Loads of storage and still able to pull a load in a trailer. Put stuff on the roof and they even come with a small canopy. Love the vids . Whats your editing platform? Thanks for the videos filled with content and entertainment. 👍🏻
nice work, but we all know after one or two jobs it takes about half day to get back to organized again.

Looks good, dollars to donuts his tools wind up in compound buckets!
Great!
I’m also in New Zealand 🇳🇿 good to see local content! Where did you get your hardware from?
I like your set up Scott, I would love to turn you loose on my tool trailer, it's due for some updates.
Awesome video, awesome build, very nice shots. This might seem like a funny question but how do you like the headphones you were using, and how do they perform with sawdust, how do you clean them? Can you still hear the machines? Thank you!!
Very cool! Wish I could be that organised :D One question though: Why the felt? I imagine all sorts of sawdust and debris will get caught in it?
Nice
Great job fella bet you hate it when people park up close to rear doors on a job tho
My concern is all that heavy wood. I'm thinking of using tin studs for partitions and balsa wood if possible 😂
Do something like this, for smaller cars like kombi/estate and hatchback. This will be more challenging :D
