You have always been my childhood idol and if it weren’t for you I would have never trained martial arts. This bloodsport final fight scene is amazing on so many levels. A USN veteran I work with told me in Thailand (I think) bars would feature kickboxers you could place bets on. He was so impressed with a winner him and his buddy gave him a nice tip to show appreciation for putting his body on the line like that to entertain them. The kickboxer came over to thank them a wouldn't take no for an answer inviting them to his modest house for what he called 'real' Thai cuisine. (He also said another bar featured waitresses that would deliver and pick up your beer bottles with their lips-and not the ones on their face!)

The character that of Victor Lin is pretty awesome. The dude not only guides them around the city, but stands up for Dux a few times, jokes with them, and is constantly giving them proper wisdom on things to keep them in the loop and not stray them awry because they're foreigners. He's also a pretty cool guy and has some swag to him. Couldn't ask for a better, trustworthy legit chaperone than Victor Lin. Rest in Paradise, Kenneth Siu!

@@kafka27 Do you not know how popular this film was in the early 90s? It did well in theaters, but did even better in movie rental stores on VHS. The early 90s is when this movie absolutely blew up with popularity to the vast.
