Amelia probably would have treated the Lycans differently too. Significantly neither Elder approached the Lycans offering peace while Viktor was sleeping - once Castle Corvinus fell they both agreed that the Lycans had to be exterminated.

The first Underworld movie was brilliant. The idea of having and secret war between Vampires and Werewolves is ingenious My let down in the movie was that they didn’t give much character development on Elder Amelia . Her ambush scene on the train was a missed opportunity. She was known to be a skillful warrior and I would have loved seing her battling lycans until ultimately being betrayed by the coven who were supposed the help her But unfortunately , the sequels were a disappointment

I disagree, for me the evolution is a good sequel, it tells you something about the history of Viktor and Marcys and William and the villains are the first werewolves and vampires that existed, the best final bosses, it entertains me even more than the first one, since then came the rebellion of the lycans which is a prequel, in the rest of the awakening and blood wars if I agree with you they are terrible

vampires in the underworld are weaker than werewolves, they need weapons to fight werewolves unlike other movies where vampires just take on a werewolf with only his/her strength and fangs.

No? Vampires have always dominated werewolves so much so in fact that Hollywood developed the (werewolf venom can kill vampires) law to make it fair.. Which is completely innacurate. WW venom doesn't actually kill vamps. Decap, heart extraction, fire old age can also kill WW's. Not just silver.

Vampires must find a way to hunt down the lycans

Viktor was a good leader who kept Williams' pestilence in check. He screwed up when he bred Lucian and his kind, then sought to enslave them forever. Then when Lucian did save Sonja's life, he punished Lucian instead. Final mistake was killing Sonja. She was the only reason Lucian didn't allow the werewolves to storm the castle. With Sonja dead, there was no further reason for him to prevent the werewolves from coming in.

If you wanna kill a Werewolf you need silver. Oh wait, Vampires... That's a problem

Imagine if there was a open world RPG game that is Lycans vs Vampire with single player, multiplayer, and co-op, Skyrim like game that you can customize yourself and make your own Lycan horde or vampire coven game. Marcus may have been the first Vampire but Victor had the Army. And was a Warlord. Practically without Victor there’s no Death Dealers. Therefore making Marcus kind of like an insurance policy. So yeah there you go the Army was loyal to Victor. Not Marcus. And Victor had the military experience.

Underworld vamps tend to not be much faster than humans, especially compared to werewolves, though they are much stronger.

I wish they made vampires and werewolves better in this movie. If you think about it, they’re all relatively slow. Vampires in True Blood and the vampire diaries seem to be supersonic at times but these would compare to a human.

I think Marcus told Victor amd the others that if he dies then all vampires will die as well. This was probably to ensure Viktor never killed him or try to take total control. With this he could also make sure William wasn't killed must by hrestenjng his own life so Viktor couldn't kill William either.
