That is always comes to mind to describe what Valve has done about the cheaters, "Execute Order 66." I have been seeing notes claiming the Valve has been working on "Order 66" for two years in secret which makes metaphor "Order 66" fit all to well! A wise move by Valve so that those scumbags won't have any warning what so ever about Valve's plans and/or lull them into a false sense of security. I think the #fixtf2 movement made Valve realize that they were taking too long (we are all human) on a solution or realized that they needed to execute "Order 66" sooner than planned.

Even those of us who were playing, met those insects and took a minute to report their accounts were shunned countless times, being told it was pointless and that Valve had silently disabled those reports long ago. They mocked us for a long time while we stayed determined, but who's laughing now? 😈

No, most hosters are in russia, so that idea is mostly nonexistent, and if they're in the us UK or more, than if they jail 1, simply all hosters would go private and keep their head down. Which is bad because valve needs info about the hosters and If hosters private, no more info.

I'm just realizing the reason why they're privatizing accounts, they're not worried about Steam finding their accounts, they're more worried about the people finding the community servers to report, so the question is how many bot hosters are there in total? Might be more than we think.

Now to arrest the bot hosts and dissolve their computers in Acid.

I still dont believe you guys absolutely thumbler’d those bot hosters. After years of harassment and noise TF community finally did it… (just like late twitter SJWs). They will absolutely, 1000% come back and F with every server. Like a gazzillion bots on every valve or dedicated server. Cant wait for another wave. Valve will just do that momentarily.

Making your account private on the platform that Valve owns in an attempt to avoid ban is the same as going in incognito mode for privacy, while WiFi and Web-browser are knowing what you are searching.

Now this brings a tear to my eye 😢😂

If the first #savetf2 was a complete failure, I don't believe anyone would have bothered to do #fixtf2. The fact Valve initially replied proved we can pressure them into action.

Now i believe that when we got the tweet in 2022 they were working on something because i remember that even some accounts got banned but returned a couple of days later With this MASSIVE ban wave it's safe to say that they didn't left TF2 but actually trying to fix it but the problem was so big that it took this long to see results

I feel what we really need from valve now is a roadmap, so we know what they are going to do. And so they can get feedback. As the waiting until the next update method hasn’t worked.

Good Riddance. I heard of a stupid idea from these bot hosters that they were creating these bots to gain attention from Valve in the first place. It's just a ridiculous reason and is a terrible excuse for the expense of thousands of people who just want to play the game normally. Reintegration from these bot hosters to society could be possible, if they admit their mistakes. (Which is highly damn unlikely.)

I'd love to see a piece of game journalism there. Someone's gotta find those bot hosters and finally get an answer to the why question, because I'm still out of ideas. I mean, it takes a lot of time and resources to do bot hosting, for years on end, and only some bot hosters were trying to monetise their efforts - with very little success, so there has to be some reason other than holding the game hostage.

Wait what. I call shenanigans

My tf2 wishlist (sorted my personal priority) : 1. remove bots. 2. have a system in place to prevent bots from returning, should valve be unable to work on it themselves (like working on an update) 3. A new update (just a general update) 4. 2 new holidays set in place with the halloween gift and cosmetic reward system for the maps. Summer (where you pick up ice coolers) and New Year/Valentines day (where you collect party hats or valentines day cards) this way we'd have a holiday for each season and with the map gift system carrying over; people can get stuff just for playing without valve needing to add anything new (since it'll use themed cosmetics as rewards like halloween got). 5. Update to christmas and tf2 birthday where they will use the halloween cosmetic gift reward like halloween (being birthday gifts and christmas presents respectively) the birthday rewards are either valve-themed items (like half life or portal) and/or use cosmetics from past crates we cannot get anymore (classic crates being an example). 6. Update to competitive along with a cosmetic medal and/or hat that levels up as you go up in the rank. Also add another version for seasonal competitive which resets each year. 7. Fix the pyro flamethrower mechanic or revert to the old way (I miss the cone over the box method) 8. The heavy update. 9. Add some new weapons that focused more for teamwork over dealing damage. So ideas of mine (just concepts mind you so they might not be great) are : a backpack for the scout that lets him carry an extra mini health pack when he grabs one to give to other players or a shield for the heavy to protect allies when he's out of ammo (could also have a charge similar to the demoknight if he blocks so much damage, but the charge would be shorter). 10. The option to toggle on/off unusual effects, hats and/or both (so people can play the way they want) or maybe just help boost framerate. Bare in mind these are just what I can remember atm, there are bound to be some I forgot.

@@lugismansion2400 I agree. Heavy mostly has the same toys being a minigun, fists and either a shotgun or sandvich; rest are slight stat changes or reskins. He badly needs something. I main pyro and even I think pyro didn't need anything. I do like the jetpack but the rest felt average. Was hoping for something unique like a firework flare, a lantern on a stick that breaks or a cryothrower (ice/snow flamethrower) but we got what we got. Btw yes, I did vote for the heavy. We had meet the pyro add stuff and I'm happy with that. Although they should really do a pyroland update, especially for halloween; but that's another can of worms.

Returning chat and voice privileges to f2p accounts would be nice too once proper anti-bot measures are in place. (I've had premium for a very long time so it doesn't affect me but still sad to have so many mute new players)

@@lPsychoMax it makes sense that Spy and Engie doesn’t really get anything for movement because they are able to move around the map easier, the only thing that allowed the Heavy to move around the map easier(especially during a match) was the Gloves of Running Urgently and it got nerfed into the ground into the same category as the Sandman(which should get a buff as well tbh, having a projectile that does nothing while sacrificing health is just not ok) and that change should be reverted for the Gloves of Running Urgently, since honestly the marked for death was already a good enough nerf for the thing and maybe more movement or utility weapons for Heavy that could allow him to not be the worst class in the game

@@fuzzyquils I agree or at the very least give them their own f2p chat so they can still talk if valve HAS to keep them from talking. Personally though, I think it's best to just remove the whole "no chat for f2p" and have a system in place that if a player or bot posts too much chat too fast they will have to wait until they can talk again; if its spam they'll get kicked and if they're banned, their words are removed from chat. Anything besides silencing new players who might want to talk!

The cheater and bot may never be able to be remove fully but if valve able to keep this up it's good *Course manual checking is better than auto one*

Actually valve was working on that project a long time ago, they just didn't have the right management approch but after the petition and all the stuff they decide to threat the problem and implement the management and keyperformance indicator afterward which actually going to lead to a small management the KPI wont be completely truth and might look bad but that because they will implement then after which is going to take effect when they are implemented

now, last thing on our Agenda: Half Life 3

possible further major updates??? Maybe they clean for the duration of the next update contract to earn a quick bucks

If anything we need the promised mythical Heavy Update with new weapons that either enhances Heavy or could give him a different role other than just being a tank and being murdered by everything that isn’t a Medic and maybe give some weapons or reworks to other classes who needs them like Engineer and Spy could absolutely use a new PDA

The best way to test to see if things are healing and working is by playing the ingame Competitive mode since the game mode has been infested with bots and cheaters since it launched.

Now all feel fresh without bots, the goal is near to clear, but other bots need to catch (these with name change, id change, undetectables, etc.)

they're only doing this to generate good press before the funko announcement. don't get your hopes up.

Biggest package of hopium I've had for a while

I never thought i'd live to see Valve ACTUALLY doing something with problems in TF2. I was ready to accept that i'd die before anything of significance actually happens. Perhaps... Perhaps we'll actually get the Heavy Update too? Is it too early to dream? To hope?

The problem that I have, is that they probably only did the ban wan to try to have good standing with the community for one, the Funko Fusion collab thing, and two, the summer "update". Until they prove that they will keep banning bots and cheaters, we must boycott.

The bot hosters crying as if they didn't commit one of the most vile underground criminal acts possible is like a serial killer crying when they get the jail sentence.

The bot hosters setting their accounts to private in a futile attempt to hide from Valve is the equivalent of a child thinking that hiding under their bed sheets will hide them from the monsters.

kind of afraid of actual innocent players getting banned, I hope they are looking into the reports more detailed to confirm cheaters/botters and not just blindly banning every reported account
