The subject here is an NC700XD, but with minor variations, this method applies to other inline twin-cylinder engines as well. Always read the service manual for torque specifications and clearance measurements! Do not push the feeler gauges into the valve clearance too forcefully; you should feel only slight resistance!
For this bike, with the engine facing you, the right side is Cylinder 1. The clearance value for the upper valves is 0.17mm +/- 0.02mm, and for the lower exhaust valves, it's 0.28mm +/- 0.02mm, with a tightening torque of 14Nm.
