Great install. I agree the plates are labeled wrong, closed should be Closed, open should be Open. I plan to use WAGO connectors for the wires, no bad crimps and no tape required.

Yes WAGO is the way to go for sure. I use them now for everything. Thanks for the comment.

Never never use those blue wire splices the differences in the aluminum and copper causes corrosion and bad connections.

Seeing your video is 3 years old, I was hoping to check in and see how reliable the Valterra EZ Valve is. Having a larger 5th Wheel, we have 3 tanks, 1 black and 2 gray and I believe all 3 are 3" valves. The cables that remotely actuate the gate valves in 5th wheels are notorious for getting hard to open and close. Before I invest in three of these $200 plus valves, I was hoping to see if you had any issues now that they are 3 years old before I spend that kind of money. Thanks!

Be happy to report, No issues at all, love them. With that said, I always lube them for maintenance. I seen someone drill a 1/4 in hole in the top of valves, so you can spray lube inside and it works great. You use a screw to plug hole. Search for it. Maintenance is everything. Glad I have them for sure, I will have them any any Rv I get for now on. ( Not paid to say that LOL )

Thank you so much. Yes, in the "four season" RV's, these holding tanks and valves are not accessable as they install insulation and a plastic belly along the bottom of the RV so that people could camp in them in the dead of winter. Therefore the stock gate valves are opened and closes with long cables and they often are difficult to pull open and push close. I will start out buying just one 3" one and once I pull the belly cover off (front belly cover covers up the black and one of the 2 gray tanks) I will confirm the gray tanks have 3" or possibly 1.5" gate valves before buying all 3 valves. Wouldn't you know the 2nd gray tank is more in the middle of the RV and a separate belly cover has to be removed to get to where that gray tank and the fresh water tank are mounted. So tempted to just leave these belly covers and insulation off as we never use or go camping in the dead of winter!

Has anyone use 2 ea. Switches on this valve, reason asking my RV has these valves. The switch es are in the box out. I’m thinking of installing another 2 switches inside my RV so if want can switch and dump black tank from inside my RV. Sounds like I’m lazy I know but there’s other reasons wanting to do this. Any information is appreciated!!! Thanks.

Hey sounds good, but if your asking if you can add a switch to an existing, I sure it can be done, but just not sure how to do it. Now if you just want to run the switches to the inside, I don't see a problem, you can mount the switches anywhere you want. You may need to add wire to do so. I would call the manufacturer first to make sure. I love them and glad I installed them. P.s its not being lazy it just really convenient. Sometimes those valves are hard to get to like mine and is makes it easier. Hope this helps, good luck on the project 👍

I already ran 12v to the rear. You can tap in at the 12v side of fuse panel or run it from you batteries.
