Every Valorant Agent has it's own class like Duelist, Initiator, Sentinel and Controller. Duelists are the offensive class of agents in Valorant. These agents excel in one-vs-one fights and their goal is to break through the enemies’ defense and win their duels. Initiators are the supportive class of agents in Valorant who - unsurprisingly - are particularly well suited to initiating fights and helping your team win them. These agents typically have abilities that allow them to provide information to the team, or disrupt the enemy. Sentinels are the defensive class of agents in Valorant. These agents typically slow down, stall, or sometimes outright stop enemy pushes on certain areas of the map. Controllers in Valorant are all about using their smokes. These agents are able to block off certain areas of the map to make offensive or defense easier. (btw congratulations on the first sponsor!)

Sad that everyone's first thought about Kay/O is that he can reverse time, but his video is about AI learning. He was created to fight in the Radiant's War, to kill Radiants. So his habilities in game are all about shuting down other agents habilities and when he's ulted, if he gets killed, he has a timer to be revived.

I hate how everyone is like "so he can reverse time?" nope, KAY/O can not reverse time. His trailer was about AI learning

So a breakdown for each of the agents: (keep in mind its a 5v5 game and once you die you have to wait for the next round to respawn) Its a fat list and most of the agents were self explanatory. Jett- She has wind based powers, she can throw two smokes that last about 10 seconds, "updraft" which just lets her jump super high, she can dash in any direction, and for her ultimate she gets these kunai that she can rapid fire, and each kill with them recharges her kunai and lets her shoot more. She also can float her way down Phoenix- Can throw two flashes that curve, has a fireball that essentially acts as a molotov and will damage enemies and friends alike, and a wall that can be used to cut off lines of sight. His ultimate essentially allows him to rush site and maybe kill some enemies or just scout ahead for a limited time, if he dies in that state then the place he was standing when he activated it is where he respawns. He can also use his abilities to heal himself Viper- can throw little capsules that she can do one of two things with: 1. create an orb which can "decay" armor and health down to 1, also cuts off lines of sight 2. a puddle of toxins which will kill you if you stand in it for too long. She has a wall (anytime theres a wall its main purpose is to cut off lines of sight) and it will also decay you. Her ultimate is a giant pit of the toxin that will decay you down to 1 health, and enemies have a red outline for her so that she can see them first and shoot. Sova- has a recon dart that will do three pings if it hasnt been shot, and if youre caught by a ping then youll be spotted (as you already saw), he has two shockdarts that will do 70(?) damage, and a drone that can be used to recon an area. His ultimate allows him to shoot through the entire map with his bow tree times, really useful for when you plant the spike and need to keep them from defusing it Sage- can heal herself or one teammate, can put up a wall with four parts to it, each part can be shot individually, idk what to call it but it basically creates a puddle of jade in a sense, and it slows you down if you get into it. Her ultimate can revive a teammate. Raze- Has a grenade that will split into 5 other grenades, two blast packs that can either send her flying and let her jump to high places, or push people away from certain angles. She also has a little roomba that will move in straight lines and blow up when it gets close enough to an enemy. Her ultimate is a rocket launcher. Omen (my main)- can throw two smokes (smokes also are purely to cut off lines of sight), throw a ball that "nearsights" the enemy (renders their sight to a couple of yards and deafens them), and he can teleport himself a few meters to anywhere he sees thats within bounds of the map. His ultimate lets him teleport to any point on the map. Cypher- has little trip wires that are invisible until you get close to them and once you walk through one it will pull you in for about 5 seconds and then detonate, which will remove your armor and stun you. You can shoot the trip wire before and after tripping it so it doesn't do any of that. He has two "cages" which just act as smokes and will make a noise whenever an enemy walks through. And his camera is just a camera which can shoot a dart. If the dart hits anyone, their position will be pinged every couple of seconds until they remove it, which will leave them vulnerable. His ultimate lets him extract the enemy teams positions from a dead body and every member of the other team will be pinged twice with about 5 seconds in between. Brimstone- Can drop three smokes, has a stim beacon that increases the speed of every action you can do while youre in its area of effect, and its effect will linger for a few seconds after youre out of it. He also has a grenade launcher that also acts as a molotov and will damage anyone over time. His ultimate is an orbital strike which will kill anyone in its area of effect if they are in it for about 2 seconds. Reyna- has two blinds that will completely blind anyone if its on their screen at all, but you can shoot it to make it go away. Once you get a kill or assist with her, an orb appears over the body. She can either heal or make herself completely invulnerable (temporarily) to escape certain situations, but she cant shoot at all in that state. And her ultimate speeds her actions up, and once she gets a kill shes automatically healing herself, and she has infinite uses of the invulnerability state but this time she completely disappears, so it makes it hard to keep track of her exact location. Breach- He can stun a straight line with this earthquake-like ability, has two blinds that have to be shot at walls and will appear on the other side to blind anyone there, and an explosive that also has to be shot at a wall and will shoot three times and kill anyone standing on the other side. His ultimate is just a huge earthquake that will stun anyone in it. Killjoy/KJ- An alarm bot that, when placed, is invisible and will only reveal itself when an enemy is near by, and will explode into a swarm that will do damage over time if you stay in it. Two swarm grenades that do the same thing but must be activated by her by looking at it and pressing a button (she can see them through the entire map). She also has a turret which mainly just spots enemies and shoots at them for little damage, but it can be shot. Her ultimate creates a huge dome that will count down to zero, and once it reaches zero any enemy caught in it is "detained". So they move slow, cant shoot, or use abilities. Skye- Has a bird that she can guide around the map, once she pops it it'll flash anyone that sees it. Her doggy can run through the map and stun anyone it lunges at, and she can heal teammates in a wide area, but not herself. Her ultimate is sending seekers out that will lock onto the enemies anywhere on the map and if they reach them they will nearsight them. They can be shot. Kay/o- This is the one yall thought could see into the future. His abilities are based around not letting the enemy team use their abilities, its called suppressing. His knife can be thrown anywhere and will have a suppressing area of effect and will tell you how many you suppressed. He has two flashes, and a grenade that also acts as a molotov. His ultimate just creates a large area of effect that suppresses the enemy team with pulses every 3 seconds. If you kill him while in this state, he just drops down and keeps pulsing, but he can be revived by anyone of his teammates but it leaves them vulnerable. Yoru- He's called the rift walker. He can drop two teleports that he can either teleport to (of course) or fake a teleport. They make noise when used so the fake is good to confuse the enemy. He has two flashes, and he can make a decoy version of himself. It looks just like him but walks in a perfectly straight line, but once its shot it will blind anyone that sees it. His ultimate turns him invisible and lets him run throughout the map, its good for recon. He can also use his abilities in the state to try and trick the enemy team before he gets out of that state. Astra- She has 4 stars that can be placed anywhere around the map while shes in her astral form. These stars can either create smokes, suck enemies in, or stun them. Her ultimate creates a massive wall across the map that is bulletproof and traps noise on either side. Chamber- he's just rich. He can pull out a pistol that does like 55 damage a shot, and has 8 bullets. He has a little trap that will shoot out a slowing area of effect if anyone steps into its range, and a teleporter (used to be two) that when he's in range of it, he can just teleport to its exact spot, lets him get early peaks on the other team and can let him get to high places if he throws it up there. His ultimate is just a one shot sniper with 12 shots Neon- She runs fast and can slide while sprinting, has two stuns that she shoots, and a double wall. Her ultimate is just shooting lightning from her fingers, and each kill recharges how much energy she has Fade- The nightmare lady. She has two "prowlers" that she can guide around and if it sees anyone itll lock on and chase them down. They can be shot, but if they reach their target, they will nearsight them. She has a haunt, which is an orb thingy that she throws and will spot anyone within its range. When it spots people it creates a trail that she can see, and she can throw her prowlers onto those trails to hunt them down directly. She has a ball that she can throw and it will trap an enemy in a little area that they cant escape from for a few seconds. Her ultimate throws a massive wave of her nightmare stuff, and will create a trail for anyone who got caught in it. It also deafens them. Harbor- Can throw up a wall, can push a wall of water than runs down a few meters and then stops, and a little cage of water that is bullet proof for a few shots and then breaks, but the water stays up. His ultimate creates a large area of effect that will stun anyone who stands still for too long. Gekko- He has four lil buddies. Wingman can be used like raze's boombot, but instead of killing it stuns. But its best use is it can plant/defuse the bomb, but it can be shot. Dizzy gets thrown out and will float, if it sees anyone before it hits the ground then itll blind them, but its really loud and can be shot. Mosh is a molotov, but once its thrown it has about 5 seconds before it explodes and kills anyone in it, it doesn't do damage over time. His ultimate is a little shark that can be controlled and will detain anyone within a certain range. Each of his abilities (except mosh) can be picked back up for later use.

KAY/O's trailer might be a bit confusing but here's the gist of it : KAY/O comes from another dimension where the agents we see were divided in a war between humans and radiants (The people with superpowers like Reyna and Jett) And the world was destroyed. KAY/O was designed with the sole purpose of killing radiants so he killed Reyna in that other dimension who was leading the Radiants in the war but he also lost Brimstone who was his best friend there. Now he's in this dimension he wants to make sure not to lose Brimstone again and he warns the agents of how dangerous they were in the other dimension as living weapons (He has voicelines for Skye and Sage and Astra being EXTREMELY powerful Radiants).

The first trailers were all made for the release of the game to let players know how characters play out. The newer trailers are more cinematic.

I suspect the early trailers were to show the game itself, as those released before the game was out. So it was a lot of ppls first look at the core gameplay
