saba Gogiberidze That's sort of the point: Trench warfare meant mud, and, um OTHER semi-fluidic stuff that impeded movement. Both Erich Maria Remarque (All quiet on the Western Front) and Ernst Jünger (Storm of Steel) relate how men would find themselves trapped in mud during frontal assaults, completely at the mercy of machine gun and shell fire. Some even died when they fell in to shell holes, filled with water so contaminated by chemicals, it was a race between drowning of poisoning as the cost of death.

This game reflects real battles and stories, This game is for Historians like me, But can also be for other people. The first world war was a very complex battle, but sadly, Is starting to be forgotten. People are looking at The second world war, There are more games and documentaries about the second war, This game, This story, Is often looked over by many other games. Thats why World War 1 should be thought of more, It has more story. I really don't understand why people are forgetting the Battle of World War 1. Well, Thats only my opinion...

Qwerty Manova 1914-1918 is a good book, so is assassination of the archduke, although that focuses more on the archduke and his family, but most of all I’d recommend the real written memoirs of any soldier in World War One, Storm of Steel, a German book, comes to mind

Qwerty Manova A fictional memoir based on the authors own experiences in World War One is called Siegfried Sassoon, I haven’t got around to reading them yet but that trilogy is supposed to be very good

Man, this game is so good. It really tells the stories of WW1 and you learn so much at the same time you are playing an awesome story. People should look this game up because its so worth it.

The Indian guy in the Dynamite puzzle has the best voice lines ever " Nnn.. no no no dont do that now " " very well "

The art style and story is interesting enough. The little tidbits of WWI facts will certainly please war buffs and educate some people. It's interesting to see a war-themed puzzle game, especially a historically themed one. I'm interested to see more from this game.

I love how that last part was like a musical, the bombs and bullets synchronized with the music. Very nice story game, full of emotion and great soundtrack. Shame many dont appreciate it for 'lacking of action' what so ever

This game. Despite its artistic, Western cartoon style and moment of comical humour, hurts from the very first moment to the end. Fantastic, magnificent and at the same time heart-felling. Bravo!

Art direction is fantastic and I love the voices, This game was adorable and sad at the same time.

We need more history games. God Bless Us All and hopefully, history never repeats itself.

I am such a HUGE fan of this game. Great story, gameplay, and allround feel for involments. Good video by the way. Sure will be a classic one day, mark my words for it.

10:33 to 11:08. When I got this game and saw that part early in the game... My gods... Many tears were shed. The music there and the story was praise worthy. Get this game. If this scene did not convince you... Then I don't know what will.

Watching this is nostalgic, when I was about 7 years old my dad and I took turns playing this game.

I love the puzzle elements and the realistic aspect that lots of people died or got horribly injured.

For those who don't know: All the letters during the loading times are based on real letters sent by infantry during WW2 and WW1 to their families.

Puzzle/ learning game. I like it, and they even threw the actual grimness of war.

This is a master piece. Not only the design element unique and beautiful, it gives history lessons on first world war. For someone like me who is obsessed with great war, this game is a must have.

The French officer at the beginning of the game until the first battle was the most sympathic and probably the best.

The last level is Genius. Classic music and the machine gun fire and bombs

We remember the trenches but many do not know about the fighting underground on the western front.

I was reading articles about ww1 and ww2 today and it triggered memories long forgotten of me playing this game almost a decade ago when I was in middle school. I instantly recognized the menu music. It honestly scared me how I completely forgot something that I loved so much.

BF1 taught me more about WW1 than middle school and high school. And that game wasn’t as accurate of a representation of WW1 than Verdun and Beyond The Wire.
