Valheim - How to Build a Dock and Boathouse - My most Detailed Building Guide

Ойындар

Welcome to my Valheim docks and boathouse How to build Tutorial.
The boathouse is built with Large wooden supporting frames covering the dock, it is big enough to allow a Longship inside.
The walls and central Tower are built from stone, the long main room has a feasting hall and hearth with a chimney.
This is the most comprehensive and detailed building Guide I have made.
There are a lot of great building tips and I have explained each section of the build with all the info and measurements you will need.
I will time stamp each part of the build so you can easily navigate it.
Like the Mead hall video, I wanted this video to be a good building guide for Timber Framing and building support for large Wooden bases.
This video covers a lot about the building mechanics for wooden structures and large stone builds.
I have explained each step along the way and you can see the whole build come together and hopefully get some ideas for your own builds.
There are a lot of detailed aesthetic features in the build that can be used in your own designs.
Valheim comes to Xbox Game pass on 29/09/22, visit my channel for the best How to build guides.
Building requires the structure to be supported from the ground up. Building large structures on Valheim can be complicated but I have easy guides for building houses, castles and Viking Longhouses.
Thank you for Liking, Commenting, Sharing my videos and Subscribing, your support means a lot thank you.
Check out the KZread community tab for updates and join me on discord to see what's going on and show off your structures.

The length of the video seems a little daunting but I have used screenshots and explained each section of the build with all the info and measurements, then I have the footage of that part of the build going together. You could skip from one explanation to the next and just use the build footage for reference. I used this video as a partial guide with some modifications and the new hearth and home parts. Iron cage walls for supports instead of wood iron beams, dark wood beams instead of logs, dark wood roof etc. covered the open dock with a roof. Used iron cage floor as the top floor of the tower and those huge fire pits on it to make a lighthouse. Still working on the inside. I also made mine on a self made island so it’s in the middle of the water near the mistlands. Made it really hard as there’s no daylight in the midlands. But it makes for a really cool look all lit up with torches and the bonfire lighthouse Love the video.

15 hours and at least 50 repairs of level 3 hammers later its finally done, i did a lot of improvising since i did everything that can be done and more with the darkwood parts, added a spiral staircase in the tower that goes up to "main" level and ofc hours of detailing the outside to perfection. come to find out, my fps doesnt really like larger builds like this. anyway, definately worth the time and effort put in to it. thank you sir! for another great build.

I've built the mead hall (legit), and then I went and built the stone "castle" and let me just say that, it's probably 3-4x harder. And that's with me using about 16 wood iron polls when he used north of 100 in the video (way too much iron for survival legit)

For what i wanted i skipped out on some of the building parts and made it a bit different, mainly the tower, the entrance, the interior, the side building, as that was completely useless for what i needed it to be doing. I also changed some of the locations of the windows and such, but the docking area, the main attraction, is what sold me, i needed to make that, absolutely astonishing, it's almost done and the sheer size of it is just ridiculous, a true masterpiece.

Holy shit Man, its been 2 weeks since I started to replicate your work here. Dammnn this gave so much trouble and took some much resources, and for the record I did just a small version of your dock, with just 1 space for a boat and no watch tower. I've came to this video just to trying get some roof ideas for my boat and end up with 2 weeks lenght building, dont take me wrong, its awesome and your work its fantastic... but man, I need vacation.

This video inspired me to log in so I can like the post, in fact a first for me. Your video and tutorial blew me away, I have been playing Valheim for ~200 Hrs and your video made me realize we are only limited by our imagination. Fantastic and inspirational build - congrats.

I’m a complete noob. I hit the Iron Age for the first time and decided to build this. I had no idea the undertaking I was about to partake in. After over 100 in game days I finally built this structure. It feels amazing to have done this. I definitely took short cuts in some sections but it still all looks great
