Yes, they've just added the Whammy feature in the Wah block with a recent fw update. So you can use that whammy effect with the built in exp pedal 😆

Hi Daniel, I've been watching your videos and I have decided to sell one of my guitars for a multi fx unit. Can you compare this pitch shifting to the Nux MG 30 and the DNA fx and other units that you own? I will take just one guitar and a multi fx unit on my bicycle and on local transport so I want good pitch shifting options for multiple tunings. Bonus points if it can go super low for a djenty breakdown like Spiritbox does.

Hi Tushar Jamwal, I've just shot a video about the Pitch shifteing effects in the NUX. Should be out next week...So please watch out for that. The DNAfxGit and the mooer GE200 don'tt have a pitch shifting effect, and the Hotone ampero has basically the same effects as the Valeton GP200, as they are using the same software. If you want a better solution as far as pitch shifting ist concerned, maybe you can consider the Mooer GE300 or the Boss GT1000, if that would be an option budgetwise. Cheers my friend 😉

sadly you didnt show the octave/pitch down an octave and 2 octave with a clean sound, the octaver on the gp100 really sucks, how about on the gp200? can it make the guitar sound like a bass?

@@EddieG1888 which firmware? Look in the "pre" device like the p-bend he demos here, you should have p-bend and pitch, both are harmonists that will do a high and a low sound added to your orig sound

@@wizrom3046 Should have added to that reply. I eventually found them but the way Valeton categorise effects on the GP-200 is crazy. For example, they have pitch effects in the same category as the compressors. I'm using this for bass in a live setting, and when I use octave effects (on my Helix I had an octave up and and octave down setting, to give me an 8-string bass tone or a "Sledgehammer"-style sound) I normally run a compressor before the pitch effect to even out the signal so it tracks better. In the GP-200 this is impossible unless you use a Hammy with the position already set, and then set up two patches. Also, the Hold and Freeze effects blocks should be in beside the delay effects, because that's essentially what they are. Valeton should amend the firmware to allow a maximum of 11 effects per patch so you can have multiple instances of each effect in a patch, so I could have oct-up and oct-down set to separate switches in the same patch. Have to say though, I set up some presets and gigged it last week, and loved the sound. My bandmates thought it was good too, and our guitarist even bought himself one!

@@EddieG1888 .. thanks for the reply. Yeah i'm fairly happy with mine, its a red one still learning it. I need to work out how to set 2 footswitches for patch up/down on the looper, instead of the bank and rev switches that I dont use. I can do a whole loop performance with 1 bank of 4 patches but need to be able to switch between patches...

@@wizrom3046 I think that's just a case of going into "Global", then footswitch, and changing the switch function to whatever you want. That's how I did mine anyway, I changed the control layout to "User Mode" and then just assigned what I needed. My footswitches are now patch up and down, looper, tap/tuner, and the bottom four switches control effects on the selected patch. I just wish there was a way of custom labelling each footswitch in the display, and turning unused footswitches off completely. Perhaps they'll add that to the next firmware update.
