Considering the detective who investigated this situation got practically ruined by his own police department--anything short of being fired--after revealing his findings. It shows the priorities of that community, as well as the press who will stop at nothing to bury this story.

As a College Football fan in my 40's , and I have lived in Michigan for most of those years. When the things started coming out, and Joe Paterno was questioned . The fan of football was very upset that JoePa was on the hot seat for the actions of another. Joe Paterno's legacy along with all the Players at Penn State had their legacy brought in to question. Then when Larry Nassar came to light right here in Michigan. Now Go Blue , No Coach would be like Bo Schembechler . It has been hard to take all the stories and fan based history glasses off. So I could see what these events have truly done to everyone. In the loose interpretation " Darkness wins ; when those that can turn the light on don't ". I would hope that if JoePa & Bo were alive they would do what was right; even for what ever reasons they didn't do at the time what they should have done...... At least that how the Fan of College Football wishes it had played out. As I write this it was hard for me to now look towards what I, and many others (assume) use College Football for the escape to what is going on in the world. Of all those who have to live with the moment that changed their reality..... where do they find their escape. So again as a Fan of Sports; my hope is this investigation is taken to whatever level it needs to be taken. If that means statues & buildings names have to go ..... in my opinion these are small things in grand things that should have changed or need to be changed. We need to show that we are here to truly care about one another EVERY day. A Go Blue Fan with a broken heart.

Same with the Doctor. Its not about victim shaming. It's about the fact that that in this nation you are innocent until proven guilty. It's not the other way around. Mike sure seems to love that people are guilty until proven innocent away. Maybe he should move to China or North Korea or Iran it would suit him more. Mitch, Wojo and Dan. I am not a Mike Valenti fan in the least. This isn't about Mike. This is about these kids being promised a scholarship and a good education at U-M and this is what they got instead. It is despicable! Do you know what happens to people who are raped or molested? I'll tell you, many suffer from clinical depression, relationships, drugs, alcohol etc. Many cannot even function. Sure, you can get a therapist, medication, doctor's and that all takes time to find. There is no cure for clinical depression, for many, it is with you for your entire life. You have to constantly manage it. Having said that, Bo was Michigan football. He said he knew when players didn't turn in a paper, stayed out late, got in trouble etc. Everything went through him. So Bo is around hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of athletes, their families and coaches. He is told about it and Bo says to tell the A.D. Now you know Bo knew something wasn't right when he said that. The players talked about it and they didn't like it. Unfortunately, because Bo didn't deal with it in the first place, this is what happened. Bo made an epic mistake. The statue comes down AT THE VERY LEAST. I am an alumnus, went too many games and I know what's right and I know what's wrong. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING is more important than the well being of an individual. Wojo, Mitch, Dan....if you stay silent and don't stick up for the survivors, YOU are part of the problem. PERIOD.

Folks, there's a bigger issue than the Michigan-Michigan State thing that's at play here. Mike brought up the Nasser coverage and he is correct. He also brought up how some of the reporters clearly love Bo, therefore, won't say anything bad about him. The sad reality however is the fact that we've seen stuff like this play out before. The reality is when it comes to abuse cases oftentimes men and boys being abused get overlooked. Let's be real if this was 800 female victims heads would roll and there would be much more media attention. the fact that there isn't and the fact that barely anyone is pointing out the fact that there is victim-blaming a-plenty here is quite disturbing. All victims of abuse should be taken seriously. to hear some people try to say that a big strong young man couldn't be a victim of abuse is just as disgusting as someone suggesting that a woman wearing a short dress deserved what she got. We need to stop this behaviour and start taking all abuse cases seriously. The fact that Bo knew and didn't speak out makes him just as guilty in my books. Especially considering Bo is like a god at Michigan. Had he said something I guarantee people would have listened!

@@evacody1249 let's put it this way. Do I think that bo was involved or that he was possibly covering something up? No I don't think that. However sometimes not taking rumbling seriously to at least look into them it's just as bad as blatantly ignoring stuff that's told to you. And I'm sorry but considering how connected he was to not have at least heard anything just seems hard to believe to me especially considering the sheer number of people who are involved here if it was like 5 or 10 people then you could say well you know what it's possible that he might not have heard a thing cuz it might have stayed far enough away from him that he might not heard. But there was just too many people involved to honestly believe if we're taking our maize and blue blinders off that higher ups didn't hear anything which would include bo. Now I agree that we should not convict anyone in the court of public opinion without proof fair enough but my thing is they at least need to do a thorough investigation. And by a thorough investigation I mean having investigators who have no ties to the university. And if the university and representatives of Bo really want to clear his name then they need to bring the investigators in. The problem I have also is that this is bigger than Bo's name. Because the reality is something happened what exactly we don't know but we know something happened and I think that an investigation needs to be done a fair independent investigation. And after that investigation is complete if it shows that he knew absolutely nothing then we have to go with that. But even if that's the case if it's still shows that sexual misconduct still took place then these victims who I will call them victims now because if it's proven that it happened then they're no longer alleged they are just victims the university needs to pay just like Penn State had to and just like Michigan state had to.

As a Student who had friends on the Football Team, I heard jokes about Dr. Anderson. I also heard he was famous for doing unnecessary knee reconstructions, possibly for billing issues and making money. 2 more questions about the press conference... A closed fist punch of a 10 year old boy? If true, Bo was a child abuser, PERIOD. It was also mentioned that Dr. A was contracted by the Ann Arbor Public Schools for their sports physicals... Screw the State Attorney, this needs an FBI investigation! If we can't protect kids as a society??? The MYTHAGAN MAN MYTH needs to die today!

Sorry, Neil. You can't have it both ways. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong. It's got NOTHING to do with money. These people were promised a scholarship and a good education and U-M failed them. YOU NEVER, EVER get over the abuse. It causes depression, suicide, relationship problems, employment problems. You have to find the right therapists, psychiatrists, medicine, it is a NIGHTMARE. No amount of money gets you your innocence back. PERIOD. LET THAT SINK IN.

This is such a crap declaration. Mike completely eviscerated Michigan State for what happened when their scandal came out. He sledge hammered them harder than anyone else in the media, and rightfully so. He held his own school accountable for the horrific things that happened on their watch. Mike being an MSU alum has absolutely nothing to do with this. Your bringing this up as a deflection is as deplorable as anyone involved in the U-M cover up.
