yep the following season when Valencia thrashed Lazio who'd won the double, and 3 out of 4 CL semi finalists were Spanish began a sharp decline in Italian football
Signs were there in this game that Valencia was gonna fly soon big time and they did. Liverpool might've unfairly qualified in this game but this game really showed Valencia were going to make a mark on Spanish and European football.
Oh wow, Valencia had so many chances lol they could've scored at least 4.
I remember watching this live… the Mestalla was fearsome that night. The reds pulled it out of the bag.
