Thank you,Rich! Yes, we took lots of warm gear with us but didn't need it for the most part. Better safe than sorry though! Definitely needed the rain gear though...as you saw in Hyder...wet!!! We have decided we won't take our bikes to Alaska again...the roads were just too rough. We are so lucky or blessed or both that we didn't have any flat tires....though we were certainly prepared!

Such a epic ride. You two have done rides that many dream of. You have definitely have some amazing stories to share at the kitchen table. ❤

@@PurpleOnThree i really don’t do people. I’m a hard core loner. Even when I met Tommy G before he got famous. I was by myself. And the way things have been. I haven’t gone any where. And don’t really have plans. This year my biggest ride was to get new tires. And I was surprised they said they had parts for a recall. I was like okay then go ahead and service my bike. The service manager came out to have a chat. He said the part that was in recall was broken. And I was lucky I didn’t hit a bump. I thought dang it. I was in country roads. And when I hit the freeway I was going 80 lol. It that part fell. It would of been bad. They said my back fender was damaged and they ordered another. And I’m getting a new rear shock and fender. And I went 300 miles to get some tires. I have no clue when this broke. But it was cause if recall so HD is paying for it. Lol

@@PurpleOnThree The only thing with flyin my drone is knowing the regulations, for instance, you can't fly them in PA state parks, and National Parks. Even though mine is under the FAA's weight limit rules.

I think that Alaska is a lot about the nature and this is just amazing. I like the photos you took. Really nice ones. Enjoyed. I hope that you are both OK. Say hello to Tommy. :)

That was our first time to see glaciers...could not get over the beautiful blue color. Then, there was this one day that there was a glacier AND a rainbow. Just fabulous! So yes, had to stay focused on those lovely roads. I will NEVER complain about road conditions again, lol

@@PurpleOnThree well it was 1974 and my dad was working the pipeline. My dad decided he was tired of being away from the family and in 1975 flew down to GA and drove the 5 of us up to Alaska in a 1972 Pontiac Star Chief. It took 7 days to get there and was told at the time the Alcan Hwy was all gravel back then. We ended up staying until 1977 and flew back. Dad stayed until 1978. He gave the car to my Uncle and flew back as well.
