What a delight to listen to Val and Howard sing, both have such lovely voices....sigh!

I met Howard many years ago what a gentleman was very kind to me bk then and helpful to me what a voice he had I've never forget how kind Howard was x

All we have now is terrible male pop singers who sing like little girls. Even the male opera singers have declined badly, esp tenors.

Why would anyone give this a thumbs down, these two great entertainment giants are worth a like just for the sheer amount of years they have been in the business and for the happiness they gave.

Met Howard Keel at a charity weekend for the NSPCC at the Jarvis Piccadilly hotel around 2003. He was a lovely man and could still sing

Margaret, after I left the Army I went to Uni In Hull. Howard Keel was performing there but for some ridiculous reason I couldn't go. Boy, do I regret that. Fantastic singer.

GOD---Howard is superb.---That incredible voice & what a personality. From a mad keen 74yo Aussie fan.

Magic! Two top performers perfectly in harmony. Howard Keel was so good in those musical films back in the day - a guarantee of top entertainment in that particular cinematic genre. These songs are a great reminder of his vocal talent.

Howard keel beautiful singer actor... Long before my time but my dad loved him singing and my mom just loved him so I always enjoyed him...

We were spoiled years ago with these super fabulous stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Two fine voices: Doonican (baritone) and Keel (bass-baritone).

loved Howard keel 😚

The voices fuse together surprisingly well. Howard Keel was a star of musical theatre who could probably have managed without a microphone whereas Val Doonican had a lighter voice. In this medley they sound like a double act, but maybe Mr Keel is holding down his volume a little.

Tonight I have learned of Val Doonigan. Where you been hiding...this wonderful entertainer?

Dad intoduced me to Mr Howard Keel when he showed SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS on home screen...

Never heard of Val Doonican, but he's a good singer. I'm amazed that Howard Keel still looked and sounded great even in his sixties. He looked like he could walk into a room full of women and even the young ones would say, "who's that?". So many stars of his generation like Marlon Brando, Clark Gable and John Wayne seemed to fall apart in middle age. Poor Errol Flynn looked terrible in his 40s. never made it past 50.

@@AquaFonic I'm American and have never been to Britain. To my knowledge, Doonican never appeared much (if at all) on American television nor did he record a song that charted in the USA. Howard Keel on the other had performed both in the USA and in the UK.

Val Doonican is originally from Waterford City Ireland. We are very proud of him.

From the time when you had to have talent to get on tv

Val coming in a little late on 3.15 and Howard lets him know but apart from that, perfect.

Wonderful contrasting voices. And very nice men too

"Oh, what a beautiful day". from Oklahoma is a great song, a great to see Howard Keel again. For a more recent version from about 20 yrs ago look up Hugh Jackman singing it on the West End, London. Brilliant version too. He was my favourite Curly.
